Title:
Grade/level: GS 5
Duration: 1 year
Duty Station: Dakar Senegal
Ensure an effective and efficient process of all travel claims submitted by staff and timely
submitted to Admin Officer for verification and posting.
Prepares and maintains administrative records pertaining to travel for the section.
Monitor and ensure all travel claims are submitted to Finance Unit for payment.
Support GS6 Travel Assistant in processing Travel Authorizations when needed and ensure good
filing of all correspondences.
Compiles data and information on subject matters relevant to the work of the section to
facilitate preparation of reports, working papers, and presentations.
Impact of Results:
This position will support the administrative and travel services and will comply with the organization's
administrative and financial policies, procedures, rules and regulations by ensuring timely processing of
all travel claims, following up all visa requirements for the staff and family and visitors, prevent
unnecessary delays, early flagging of delays which will allow proactive action.

Qualifications:
Education: Completion of secondary education, preferably supplemented by technical or university
courses related to the administration.
Experience: At least five years of experience in administrative work, which should include a good
knowledge/ experience in Travel services.
Language Requirements: Fluency in French and working knowledge of English required. Knowledge of
the local language is an asset.
