I have an overwhelming passion for working with students in setting III and setting IV
programs. Working with a population that is often times challenging has become my lifes
mission. During my time as a setting IV EBD teacher, I have worked with around 30
different students. Of these 30 students, I have successfully transitioned 11 students back
to setting III or setting II programming.

Created and implemented academic instruction in reading/language arts,


mathematics, science and social studies using appropriate modifications and
adaptations according to each individual students IEP
Maintained constant communication with the school team: Mental Health
Behavioral Aide, Mental Health Practitioner and Horizon Supervisor, to provide
appropriate programming for students
Led annual IEP meetings and re-evaluation meetings to include input from all
members of the students team
Completed due process paperwork in compliance with state guidelines
Completed due process paperwork for two teachers hired on a variance
Transitioned 9 students from Setting IV programming to Setting III
programming in three school years
