Influenza Pandemic of 1918

Have u ever wondered about the worlds worst pandemic that occurred in the first
World War? It happened in the era of World War 1, from 1918-1919 a drastic event that
affected many countries and it is known as the Influenza Pandemic of 1918. Influenza
Pandemic is the spread of a viral disease called the influenza virus that is eligible to
invade your bodily systems and causes other diseases to arise. Initially, it all began and
emerged from within the spanish country named Spain where many individuals were the
first to encounter this horrible event. Unfortunately, the influenza virus dispersed all
around the worlds continents and there were a variety of symptoms and animal carriers.
Lastly, the most countries except the third world performed different procedures for the
prevention of influenza.
Spanish Flu Pandemic is influenza, which is the present-day flu that is a viral
infection that can be fatal and especially lead to high risks. It can have a negative impact
on our bodies systems which are respiratory, immune, and the digestive system. At first,
the sickness can affect the respiratory tract by sticking to the cells in the system with a
special protein called hemagglutinin, it enters cell nucleus, replicates itself, and causes
blood cells to burst. Then, our immune system is afflicted by influenza when it enters the
cytokines which are the white cells that cause fevers and muscle pain in order to stop

viruss replication. Next, this viral disease in the digestive tract fosters our intestines to
vomit, have diarrhea, and reduce our appetites. Overall, influenza virus has an enormous
negative impact on several of our bodily systems.
In 1918-1919, influenza emerged in the country of Spain and spread all over her
people caused by other diseases. Influenza was caused by the emergence of several
diseases like pneumonia, cholera, and the bubonic plague sickness. As a virus it arose in
Spain and approximately from 21,235-147,114 spanish citizens died in this country which
is almost the entire race . Spanish population was the first to encounter the virus and it is
called the Spanish Flu Pandemic because it originated within this country. Many patients
were examined by researchers and they discovered that the people were mostly suffering
from other diseases instead of influenza. To conclude, the population of Spain was
drastically affected by influenza all because of the other diseases they obtained in their
bodies.
Sadly, the spanish flu spread extremely from Europe, Asia, America, with a variety
of symptoms and animal carriers and prevention techniques. It began to disperse all over
from Europe to North America, to Asia, Africa, South America, and back again. The
world population experienced many symptoms which are: headaches, extreme
exhaustion, high fever, coughing, vomiting, and diarrhea. However, there were animal
carriers who caused the spread of influenza and they are: domestic animals and wild
flying animals. Many countries utilized prevention techniques in order to protect
themselves and they include masks, quarantines, and lockdowns. Finally, influenza
spread worldwide, involved many symptoms, and led to the use of preventional
strategies.

In World War 1, many humans died extremely from the spread of a viral disease
called influenza type A. Influenza is a viral infection that can damage the systems of our
bodies which include respiratory, digestive, and immune. On the continent of Europe the
spanish country of Spain faced influenza by rise of several other diseases. Regrettably,
the influenza virus of type A dispersed all around earth, involved lots of symptoms and
caused countries to use prevention for protection. In conclusion, the Spanish Flu
Pandemic of 1918 was the worst and the mother of all pandemics that have occurred in
the World.
