I compare my goals and ambitions to a compass in search of the true

north. I have been lost many times, but have always seemed to find my true
north which is a personal calling to become a para educator, and to work
with individuals who require a little more understanding and patience.
My name is Cheryl Hoskinson and I have been part of the para
educator program for about a year and a half. I have had fantastic teachers
who have shown me the tools, like this portfolio, on how to become the best
educator possible.
I have spent twenty years in the United States Government as a
member of the United States Navy, and loved serving my country. As
mentioned before I have always been seeking my true north which to me is
another avenue in which I can serve others, and that is the reason why I
want to become a teachers assistant.
