Albany Capital Center - Construction Activities Look Ahead Week of 9/19/16

The following work is anticipated to occur during the week:
General

To protect the general public, the Empire State Plaza Walkway was closed and will remain closed while it is being
renovated, the current estimated completion time frame is: February 2017.
Access to the ESP Walkway at all points, beginning at the East Lobby of the Empire State Plaza and at all entrances
and exits east to The Times Union Center will be closed to any and all pedestrian access for the duration of the
work;
Parking at the Albany County Times Union Center Parking Facility will not be interrupted as all current
entrances/exists will remain open;
Elevators and Stairs at the Albany County Times Union Center Parking Facility will remain open;
Pedestrian access to and from the Albany County Times Union Center Parking Facility will be via the Beaver St.
entrance;
Pedestrian access to destinations on South Pearl St. will be via Beaver St.
Pedestrian access to destinations at State Street will be via Beaver St. to Lodge St;
Pedestrian access to destinations at the Empire State Plaza will be via Beaver, Lodge, Howard, Eagle and Lancaster
Streets to portions of the east staircase to the ESP Plaza, which will remain open.
-ANDAccess to/from Eagle, Lancaster and Park Streets has been added from the Albany County Times Union Center
Parking Facility via temporary crosswalks and a pathway along the Market Street Ramp
Trucking of materials and equipment continues at S. Pearl, Howard, & Eagle Streets.
We continue to coordinate with the City of Albany, the Times Union Center, and neighboring properties to satisfy
all requirements.

BP02 Concrete Foundations/Walls/Slabs on Grade/Slabs on Deck:

Slab on deck concrete pour schedule is as follows:

o Level 1 & Level 2 complete
o G-1 Slab scheduled for 9/23/16
o Equipment pads in various areas in progress;

BP03 Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metals:

Detailing nearing 98% completed.

Elevator steel changes continue.
Stair 4 to start this week.

BP-04 Site Utilities-Water/Sanitary/Storm:

Phase 2 of Howard Street water line installation is complete. Final tie in on Eagle Street will be complete
this weekend.
Sanitary Sewer connection along Eagle St. is complete. Remaining utilities to continue this week.
Start work in entrance plaza on Eagle Street.
Grading and restoration complete around electrical vaults on Eagle Street.

BP06 Curtain Wall/Glass and Glazing

Curtain Wall continues on the North and West Elevations

BP07 Roofing

Roofing on upper roof and lower roofs are completed, while detail work still continues.

BP08 General Trades

Safety and protection work is in progress (toe boards and temporary stairs and handrails);
Exterior wall systems in progress;
Interior drywall stud framing is in progress at Level 1 & Level 2;
EIFS system in progress: Balance of south, east and north elevations, including parapet at high roof;
Interior Masonry Partitions in progress; W-1 elevator shaft masonry to start this week.
Level 2 Sound insulation continues
Brick veneer on North side (Howard St.) is complete.

BP10 Fire Protection

Fire Protection System Contractor on site and work is in progress (all levels);

BP11 Plumbing

Wall rough-in, in progress Levels 1 & 2;.

Balance of floor rough-in complete.

BP-12 HVAC

Installation of duct and pipe hangers at Level 1 and Level 2 is in progress.

Balance of rough-in on Level 1 & 2 started

BP13 Electrical

Installation of temporary power and lighting is in progress.

Balance of rough-in on Level 1 & 2 started.
Switch Gear to be delivered this week.

Traffic Management:

Wendell St., Howard to Beaver, will remain closed until further notice.
Interruption of traffic at Eagle St. and Howard St. will be minimal and occasional
Installation of Hotel Bridge Connector superstructure by Hotel Developer was completed this past
weekend. The hotel developer is proceeding with the balance of the bridge work, including finishes. This
work will result in traffic interruptions along Howard St.
