INTRODUCTION TO THE TPM

INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this manual is to provide information to all levels of Airblue Technical staff so that they
clearly understand their job functions within their respective sections. This manual contains the
technical policies and procedures of Airblue.
Policy that relate to Airworthiness and Quality Assurance requirements shall not conflict with the policy
and / or requirements of the MOE and PCAA approved manuals. All originators shall be responsible to
continuously monitor the content of the procedures and advise General Manager Quality Assurance of
any procedures that require revision.
All originators shall be responsible for the revision of procedures attributed to them.
Such revisions shall be agreed by all affected parties and then forwarded to the Quality Assurance in
electronic format for inclusion in the next revision.
STRUCTUTRE
This Technical Procedure Manual has been divided into sections and numbered pages. Each page is
identified with the revision number and date. Following are the sections of this Manual:

REVISION, REVIEW & APPROVAL PROCESS

1. Technical Procedures Manual (TPM) requires periodic review to ensure that each procedure meets
its intent. A review is a requirement to ensure responsibility is taken by an individual official in the
organization who is identified as the originator.
2. All originators shall be responsible to continuously monitor their relevant procedures for compliance
(TPM 0.8). Revision drafts shall be forwarded to the Quality Assurance for approval.
3. Title changes of the same function will not result in change of responsibility for monitoring and
update of procedures.
4. The revision number displayed in Record of Revision is applicable only to List of Effective Pages.
5. Each procedure in the sub sections is updated individually.
0.9.1 DISTRIBUTION OF TPM AND ITS AMENDMENTS
a) Hard Copy Format
For distribution of TPM, Quality Assurance shall issue a Control Copy Number (Refer TPM 0.6) to each
controlled copy for traceability.
Technical librarian shall distribute amended pages to all addressees, as per distribution list.
An amendment shall be incorporated by inserting new (amended) page and replacing existing page.
Margin line, on left-side, will identify latest revision on each affected page. Each manual holder, upon
incorporation of amendment, shall complete the Record of Revisions (Refer TPM 0.1). Whereas copy
of letter duly signed by the holder, shall be returned to Technical librarian as acknowledgement for
receipt and incorporation of particular amendment. Previous Manual obsolete pages must be discarded
immediately to avoid any confusion.
b) Electronic Copy Format
TPM in electronic copy format shall be available on organizational intranet for secured accessibility
through corporate accounts. Manager Engineering Quality Assurance shall arrange in-time updates of
electronic copy along with revision of TPM in hard copy format.
Certifying staff shall be trained on amendments in TPM, through continuation training program. Each
manual holder shall communicate any amendment in TPM to all concerned personnel of the respective
division.
