Three different common views 1. Normal view this is a default view, where you have a regular worksheet and tabbed menus. 2. Page Layout- This view allows to edit your worksheet in print preview mode. 3. Page Break Preview- this view allows to see where pages will end and where a new page begins when the worksheet is printed. View tab to access the different view option. View toolbar- has three buttons that you can click on to change the w ay how your worksheet is displayed. Zoom Slider- use to change the magnification of your sheet. To switch to Full screen view: 1. Click View tab in the Ribbon. 2. Navigate to Workbook Views group. 3. Click Full Screen button. ESC- you can press to return to normal view.
Formatting Worksheet Backgrouns
1. Click the sheet where you want to add a background pattern. 2. In the Page Layout tab, under the Page Setup group, click Background. 3. Select a picture for the background pattern, and click Insert. Removing a Background 1. Click the sheet which has a background pattern on it. 2. In the Page Layout tab, Page Setup group, click Delete Background. You will notice that the background has been removed from your worksheet. Watermark- is a semi-transparent graphic or text image that covers a large section of a page and normally lies behind the main text and pther graphics. Instructions: 1. Open MS Excel. 2. Insert a background of your choice. 3. Rename the Sheet 1 to Hands-on1. 4. Rename the Sheet 2 to Hands-on 2.
