EASY CHANGE SEMINAR

After a day of open and positive interactions between management team

members and between the team and the "doctors" , weve finally understood
everything is up to us, that in fact "we are a strong team, free to create value"
and all we need is positive energy and engagement. We left there with a changed
mindset, dierent energy.....in addition we've got many gifts; gifts received from
colleagues and oered with joy, gifts from our doctors - the horses, gifts from
the team of facilitators. Sometimes you need somebody to show you the near
future...then everybody knows what to do. Thank you HorseEye for turning us
around and showing us what lies behind us!

BEYOND THE DUALITY OF POSITIVE & NEGATIVE

PROBLEM & SOLUTION; SYMPTOM & CURE
Appreciative Inquiry serves as a wellspring for transformational change.
It supports organisation-wide learning and renewal in the following
ways:

Through widespread inquiry, it helps participants perceive the

need for change, explore new possibilities, and contribute to
solutions.

Through customised interview guides, it focuses on

moments of high performance in order to ignite transformative
dialogue and action within the organisation.

Through alignment of the organisations formal and informal

structures with its purpose and principles, it translates shared vision
into reality and belief into practice.

EXERCISES WITH HORSES: HOW A SYSTEM REACTS TO APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY PRINCIPLES

1. The Constructionist Principle
Proposes that what we believe to be true determines what we do, and thought and action emerge from relationships. Through the language and discourse of day to day interactions,
people co-construct the organisations they inhabit. The purpose of inquiry is to stimulate new ideas, stories and images that generate new possibilities for action. Horses will show
us that words create worlds.

2. The Simultaneity Principle

Proposes that as we inquire into human systems we change them and the seeds of change, the things people think and talk about, what they discover and learn, are implicit in the very
first questions asked. Questions are never neutral, they are fateful, and social systems move in the direction of the questions they most persistently and passionately discuss.
Horses will react instantaneously to our actions, inquiries, they will give unbiased feedback; Inquiry creates change - the first question is fateful

3. The Poetic Principle

Proposes that organisational life is expressed in the stories people tell each other every day, and the story of the organisation is constantly being co-authored. The words and topics
chosen for inquiry have an impact far beyond just the words themselves. They invoke sentiments, understandings, and worlds of meaning. In all phases of the inquiry eort is put
into using words that point to, enliven and inspire the best in people. We can choose what we study, horses will help us adjust our perspectives from unknown before angles.

4. The Anticipatory Principle

Posits that what we do today is guided by our image of the future. Human systems are forever projecting ahead of themselves a horizon of expectation that brings the future powerfully
into the present as a mobilising agent. The more positive and hopeful the image of the future, the more positive the present-day action. Image inspires action, we will navigate the
image of the future we have build together with the horses, discovering opportunities and complexity points.

5. The Positive Principle

Proposes that momentum and sustainable change requires positive aect and social bonding. Sentiments like hope, excitement, inspiration, camaraderie and joy increase creativity,
openness to new ideas and people, and cognitive flexibility. They also promote the strong connections and relationships between people, particularly between groups in conflict,
required for collective inquiry and change. Through their authentic, collaborative nature, horses will create a positive atmosphere where positive questions lead to positive change.

WHAT IS IT EXACTLY?
A seminar where horses are the real facilitators that help you create your company
future. Participants will discover their core strengths and facilitators will help
them dream and design their future.

Participants will experience in the arena several categories of hands-on exercises

around the topics of:

leadership

thinking out of the box (but not too much!)

considering new perspectives

innovation and creativity

goal orientation

team communication

working towards common goal

Did you know that the

main project success factor
is: user

engagement?

WHAT WILL YOU GET OUT OF IT?

User Engagement & Personal
Leadership
By exploring moments of past success, you uncover
stories about times when people were most engaged,
eective, successful and connected.
Thus you bring to the surface those key elements that
made them feel engaged and in charge and you bring that
engagement into the present.
And based on this newly regained involvement, you build
bridges to the task at hand.

Easy Change Management

We are hard-wired to be suspicious of change - its our
evolutionary key asset that brought us so far.
So when change is imposed or comes as a surprise, which
is often the case in organisations, resistance or at best,
inertia sets in.
The principles of AI used in the seminar invite people to
be part of the change, thus:

they themselves support change

they own the change and

they commit to it

WHAT WILL YOU GET OUT OF IT?

Team Culture Focused on Positivity

Developing Strength

Culture is a co-construction, shaped by language, stories,

practices and relationships. The quality and tone of the
language, relationships and stories will determine whether
the culture is harmonious, creative and productive, or
hostile, de-energizing and destruction, or somewhere in
between.

When anything seems out of place, we define that as

a problem or weakness and set out to solve it. By
default, we are acculturated to focus first on the
things that need fixing and often, we fail.

Though this seminar, the team involved will learn how to:

look for the best in any situation, interaction or project

foster inclusiveness

get the energy up

develop emotional resilience

bring projects faster to successful completion

Through our seminar methodology, we do the

reverse: set out to find the bright spots - find
out what is already working, thus bringing attention
to: team and personal strengths and to what worked
already in various other projects.
