Hello, my name is John Shaw, and Im here to discuss my experience. During my

high school experience, I have worked independently and stayed focus. During my freshman and
sophomore year at Dr. Henry A. Wise High School, I could not figure out what my major going
to be, and the college or universities I am attending since I first entered. In my freshman year in
Dr. Henry A. Wise High School, I was clearly not focused on the directions the instructor was
given, but in my sophomore year, I was more focus than I was in my freshman year. In my senior
year, I started to do my community service.
In order to get my community service hours, I participated in a sport event called South
Korean Martial Arts. The session takes up at least four hours of community service in order for
me to be eligible to graduate. South Korean Martial Arts is the activities I do out of school. The
karate sessions take up about eight weeks, and it took four hours to complete every work. I did
the math, and leads to a total of thirty-two community service hours.
Outside of high school, I became a mature adult by learning how to drive. I have to
practice hard, preparing myself to take my driving test in April. In school, I am completely on
task, and push forward to my dream goal. The responsibilities that I have to take is scholarships
and college applications inside and outside of high school. Reaching my dream goal in high
school had developed me as a person by facing challenges, becoming college and career ready,
and staying active.

Reaching my dream goal in high school have developed me as a person by facing the
challenges in front of me. My most challenging educational experience in high school is for me
to finish the work. For example, there was a project that is due in three months, and I finish the
project late, but within that three months I start to finish the work on the third month leads to the
word called procrastination. Procrastination is a challenging educational experience that is going
on in the world including me. Sometimes I get the feeling that I dont want to do anything, but
when I realized the homework is due next week, and I waited till next week to do it. I tried not to
procrastinate, but its still happening every week at school. For example, I did my homework
before school started until the teacher call to hand in homework. I must learn how to be punctual
with my work, and stop becoming the lazy person to begin to be a diligent person.
Another challenge will be the course I have taken during my high school experience, and that
course name is Spanish III. Studying the course have given me stress and completely put me to
rest. For example, my Spanish teacher gave each student including me a dialogue skit that is
written in Spanish for us to memorize, and it will count as an assessment grade. Thinking to
myself how am I going to pull this off in the next two days when the test is about memorizing
lines in the Spanish dialogue. I will take some time for me to prepare for the test, and read the
lines extra careful. After many attempts on repeating the same line and made many errors, its
starting to become frustrated and becoming stress. The tests in Spanish III class have given me
the stressful time which made the subject challenging. The challenges I have face happened
during in my junior year at Dr. Henry A. Wise High School. It is a struggle for me to
understanding of pronouncing the Spanish vocabulary in the dialogue. The stressful time
occurred when I procrastinate on my work, and have a hard time of studying.

Reaching my dream goal in high school had developed me as a person by becoming college
and career ready. After my senior year in high school, I only applied to four schools to attend,
and those 4 schools are called Stevenson University, Capitol Technology University, Bowie State
University, and Prince George Community College. I plan to study cybersecurity and computer
software engineer because those majors have peek me of interest to start up my future. I dont
have any internships or employment yet, but in the near future, I will have employment and
internship experience after my high school experience. When I entered to my junior year, I
earned an AP course called Computer Networking help us learn about Cyber security and
software. The course Im learning help figure out my major in my 13th year plan.
I am taking the same course in my senior year at Dr. Henry A. Wise High School. The
AP course Computer Networking gets much easier because I learned the basics last year. I am in
class focusing on my work in order to developed my educational 13th year plan. While I am
finishing my own work, I help my fellow peers if they need any assistance. In order to achieve
my 13th year plan, I must raise my GPA and get a better score on the SAT in order to be accepted
to the schools I applied to. I do a lot of research on the four schools I have applied to, and the
schools have my major enhances my vision of becoming cyber security and computer software
engineer. During my senior year, I am raising my GPA higher than my previous years in high
school. I am more focus on my dream goal of becoming a computer software engineer and cyber
security. This one course had inspired me in order to continue toward the fulfilled dream I have
awoken. I give a thanks to my teacher on finding out my 13th year plan, and continue to strive
toward my dream of becoming a cyber security and computer software engineer.

Reaching my dream goal had developed me as a person by staying active. I stayed active to
be a responsible citizen to become a mature adult. I am a diligent person when it comes
preparation in my high school experience. I am staying focus in my high school experience made
me a responsible citizen to complete the tasks that are given. For example, I am taking driving
lessons from my father, taking responsibility for my senior dues, and completed my community
service hours. Outside of school I take responsibility of scholarships in order to pay my tuition.
The high school experience had made me a responsible citizen when I entered Dr. Henry A. Wise
High school during my junior and senior year.

Reaching my dream goal had developed me as a person by facing challenges, becoming

college and career ready, and staying active. I have faced challenges during my junior year in
high school gave me stress, and also gave me rush hour to finish the work. During my junior
year, I have found my major of cyber security and computer software engineer in my 13th year
plan. Outside and inside of school, I stayed active to become a responsible adult complete the
task that needs to be done. My high school experience have become a great experience for me,
and I will attend to college after high school.
