Argumentative Essay
There are various religions around the world with different views about
various topics. What comes after death is one of those topics which is highly
debated among religions. In Christianity, which is the most practiced religion
in the world, always faces great debate in this issue. Many scholars,
philosophers, teachers, and priests have their own personal view point about
this issue and write novels about it. The big debate of what comes after
death is more important is specifically view to determine who will be saved
for eternal life or who will be condemned for eternal damnation. In
Christianity who will be saved by God or will God chose to select a few
people is what is mostly debated. It is known that you must follow the
teachings of God through Jesus to be saved or what do you have to do to be
saved. In the Philippians 1:19, we can determine that salvation exists. For I
know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this
will turn out for my deliverance. Will God save all mankind or will God
choose who he desires to saved.
God without a doubt plays the most important role in determining who
will be saved. This being said the second most important role is our decision
to dedicate ourselves to be saved. My personal opinion is God will save all
because the amount of love he has for mankind will overpower anything we
have done and he will forgive us. The situation is most evidence state God
will choose who he will save. The most clear proven evidence is in Luke
12:23-24, where is demonstrates the difficulty of being saved and God will
choose who he will save. Someone asked him, Lord, will only a few people
be saved? He answered them, Strive to enter through the narrow door, for
many, I tell you, will attempt to enter but will not be strong enough. With
the clear description of narrow door is shows the difficulty of being saved.
Not only it demonstrates the difficulty but a narrow door which only a few will
be able to accomplish passing through. Next, another example of how
difficult it is to be saved is Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go
through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of
God.25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying,
Who then can be saved? This comes from the gospel of Matthew, and the
metaphor of the camel being easier to enter the kingdom of God instead of a
rich person demonstrates the difficulty of it. Next, we are shown in Malachi
1 :1-3 that God loves Jacob and will save him but reject Esau. An oracle. The
word of the LORD to Israel through Malachi. I love you, says the LORD; but
you say, How do you love us? Was not Esau Jacobs brother?oracle of the
LORD. I loved Jacob, but rejected Esau; I made his mountains a waste, his
heritage a desert for jackals. Thus, many passages show the severity of
difficulty in being saved and how God plays the important role of the
selection process through the difficulty to be saved.
