Adoptive head light

Introduction:
The Adaptive Headlights System is the design and implementation of a headlight
system with three additional features beyond the scope of the average cars lighting
system. First, the illumination beams are mobile. As the car turns left or right down a
windy road the headlights will modify, based on the steering wheel movement and the
speed of the vehicle, to illuminate the road where the car is headed.
In addition, different driving conditions demand different lighting schemes. For
example, highway driving at higher speeds benefits from a far reaching light with less
need for illumination of the sides of the road. Where slow residential driving requires
a broader field of view where pedestrians and more frequent intersections are of
concern and it is not as necessary to see far into the distance. The third feature
monitors the speed of the vehicle and narrows and lengthens or widens and shortens
the lighted area as appropriate for the predicted conditions.

Objective
To build a Adoptive headlight system for night travelling. Head light can
move left right by using steering.

1. Ply Wood
Plywood is a manufactured wood panel
made from thin sheets of wood veneer.
Plywood layers (called veneers or plys) are
glued together, with adjacent plies having
their wood grain rotated relative to adjacent
layers up to 90 degrees.

2. Screw, Nut Bolt

Nut bolt or screw is used to whole assembly fitting
3. Steel Rod
It is used for Steering.

4. Aluminum Strip
Sheet metal is simply metal formed into thin
and flat pieces. It is one of the fundamental
forms used in metalworking, and can be cut
and bent into a variety of different shapes.
Countless everyday objects are constructed
of the material. Thicknesses can vary
significantly, although extremely thin
thicknesses are considered foil or leaf, and
pieces thicker than 6 mm (0.25 in) are
considered plate. And holes were cut by
blanking process in an organized manner

5. Rack Pinion gear

The pinion gear is attached to the steering shaft. When you turn the
steering wheel, the gear spins, moving the rack. The tie rod at each end
of the rack connects to the steering arm on the spindle (see diagram
above).

CONCLUSION:
Our design uses extremely simple ideas and mechanisms to
achieve a complex set of actions and is intended to imitate the
actions of the operators. However, these Adoptive head light are
expensive for small scale industries. If the major problem of
high initial cost is addressed, a robotic Adoptive heads light can
be introduced in any industry to bring in automation.

The mechanical links and parts that have been fabricated are
extremely simple.
