Anguilla

Imports: CIF, by origin

Exports: FOB, by last known destination

Trade System: General

Overview:
From 2004 to 2008, Anguilla's exports increased on average by 18.9 percent each year and amounted to 11.5 mln US$ in 2008 (see table 1).
Imports increased on average by 27.6 percent each year and reached 271.7 mln US$ (see table 2). This resulted in a trade deficit of 260.3 mln
US$ (see graph 1). By MDG regions, trade with Developed North America accounted for a large part of this deficit (-165.2 mln US$) (see
graph 2). Significant deficits were also recorded with Latin America and the Caribbean (-69.3 mln US$) and Developed Europe (-16.3 mln
US$). Anguilla's trade was highly concentrated among a few partners: in 2008, 3 major partners accounted for 80 percent of exports and
imports (see graph 3).
