Thebasicmechanicofthewoundlevelsystemisverysimple:
1.Rolldamagenormally.Applydamageresistance
normally.Donotapplyinjurymodifiersatthisstep.
2.Comparethedamagetothetarget'swoundthresholds
(seebelow)thewoundlevelisthehighestthreshold
thatislessthanorequaltothedamageroll.Theresult
isthepenetrationlevel.Thisisalsothebasicwound
leveloftheattack.Iftheresultisbelowtheminimum
threshold,thereisnoinjury.
3.ModifythewoundlevelbytheWoundModifierofthe
weapon.Ifnotusing
4.Modifywoundlevelbasedontheinjurymodifierofthe
hit:2for0.5(pi),+0for0,+1for1.5(cut,pi+),+2
for2(imp,pi++),+3for3(vitals),+4for4(brain).

target'sWoundResistance.Ifthisislessthanzero,
thereisnomeaningfulinjury.Otherwise,thisisthe

itoff.Ifthetargetdoes,clearthewoundatthatlevel
andapplyawoundofonelevelhigher(continueuntila
blankwoundisfound).Ifadeathcheckisrequiredfor
thenewlevelandwasnotrequiredfortheoldlevel,roll
onedeathcheck.
8.Applylastingeffectsbasedonthehighestwoundlevel
currentlyset.
