Warning, Should the circuit breaker fail to switch

the power off during the second test, earth
continuity is poor and need to be re instated.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Whenever a test is conducted to prove the
functioning of an ELCB or ELR, personnel should
take extra care not to touch any live points that
might have been exposed for the purpose of the
test.
Test probes and the testing device should be of
the approved type and should not be used unless
it is in a sound condition.
Only a competent person shall conduct an earth
path continuity test.
The test method and the test criteria should be
clearly understood by all the personnel involved
before the test is conducted.
