PAYMENT OF RE-EXAMINATION AND UNFAIR PRACTICE PENALTY FEES
1.

OVERVIEW
1.1 Re-examination fees are payable by all final year candidates (including staff candidates)
who are re-assessed in their final level for awards of Cardiff Metropolitan University or for
those of the University of Wales. Candidates who have been unsuccessful in one or
more element and are due to be re-assessed (e.g. take resit examination/s, resubmit projects/dissertations/other method of re-assessment) are required to pay
the appropriate fee.
1.2 Unfair Practice Penalty Fees, in lieu of re-examination fees, are payable by all candidates
(all years/levels/awards) allowed re-assessment following proven unfair practice. This
applies whether the case was proven by a Committee of Enquiry, Examining Board, or

appended to this document.
