IRT is Software product used in Clinical Trials for Patient

Randomization and Drug Supply Management (Drug
ordering, Drug Dispensation, Drug Inventory Management)
by clients like Sunovion, Merck, Novartis and many more.
Oracle HSGBU (formerly Phase Forward) is responsible for
development and testing of Clinical Trials using their
proprietary tool Interactive Response Technology (IRT) for
various Customers. It's a web-based system that process
large amounts of clinical information providing critical
information for decision-making. It includes document
management, healthcare data management, knowledge
management and real-time clinical trial management and
reporting. The Solution adheres to FDA regulations and
completely implements all the features for CFR Part 11
Including E-Signature, and Audit Trails.
The entire process of testing involves customization of
various modules in IRT like validation of fields, help
documents, sites, users, application configuration etc. All
the various modules that are implemented for any trial will
be tested to verify that the development meets the client
specification. Custom reports requested by customers are
tested.
IRT can also be integrated to other Electronic Data
Capturing tools used in clinical trials, like Inform.
Responsibilities as a Team Member:
1. Involved in Test Design and Test Execution
2. Defect Management - Logging defects, and tracking of
defects in OTM (Oracle Test Manager).
3. Involved in validation of various customizations of clinical
trials which are developed using IRT.
4. Identify various scenarios for functional and integration
testing Involved in maintaining results and keeping track of
metrics by preparing appropriate reports.
