Sarahs Key Notes

Paris 1942 Sarah, and her parents were taken by the


police, her little brother stayed hidden in the hidden
closet of their room.
Paris 2009 Zoe goes to see the apartment of Mame
(her grandmother), with her mother and her father.
They will be moving to this apartment after remodeling.
*When Zoes grandparents were young they were only
able to afford part of the apartment, then as the time
passed they continued to extend their property.
Zoes mom works in an publishing company, and she is
doing an article on the 16th and 17th of July 1942.
16th and 17th of July 1942 they arrested 13,000 mostly
women and children. First they separated them, and
put them in inhuman conditions and then they sent
them to the camps.
Sarah and her family are taken on a bus with all of the
other Jews. She believes that they are one day going
back home, but then her father explains that they are
never going back.
Anna a Jew Sarah and her family met while waiting by
the tracks.
Anna was able to escape, when Sarahs father noticed
that it was possible to escape, he tried to go look for his
son, but the police didnt let him. He was attacked by
the guards.
