Polytechnic University of the Philippines is indeed a well-known university

when it comes in providing their students with quality education. As
students, we know the struggles and hardships that most of the PUPians in
Quezon City are facing, especially when money is involved. And to address
the need

of the students, we are proposing a business plan about

establishing and managing a service type of business organization which is

the PUPians QC Student Credit Cooperative. Our student Cooperative desires
to achieve the role in providing high quality yet affordable services to the
PUP community. This cooperative designed to assist the students of PUPQC,
in terms of financial and academic aspects. The main purpose of the Student
cooperative is to provide financial support for those financially unstable
students in the matters of tuition fee, thesis and feasibility study expenses
and other activities through student assistance loan. The advantages of
cooperative organization are the following, the cooperative is owned and
controlled by members, t has a democratic control: one member, one vote, this type
of organization has a limited liability and Profit distribution (surplus earnings) to
members is carried on in proportion to the use of service; surplus may be allocated in
shares or cash. We expected that the Return of investment in establishing our
cooperative will at least 1 year. After three (3) years the student credit cooperative will
become a multi-purpose cooperative so that we can offer different kinds of services like
photocopying, sales of school supplies, loading station and etc. The starting capital of
the student cooperative will be coming from the membership fee of P 100.00 and

starting share capital of P 500.00. Our estimated students that will be a members of
cooperative are 500 students.

This coming 2nd semester school year 2016-2017 is the date that the
student cooperative will start its operation. Its going to be the first
student cooperative in the Philippines. This will be a good year to all
the students in PUPQC because theres no more reason to stop in
studying.
Operating hours
The office will open at 8 oclock in the morning and closes at 5 oclock
in the afternoon from Mondays to Saturdays.

 The PUPians QC Student Credit Cooperative is a business that will

provide financial assistance to the students of PUPQC in the matters
of student loans like tuition loan, thesis and feasibility expenses and
other academic activities. The officer in charge in this student
cooperative will come from the votes of regular members. Since it
was a democratic type of business the regular members of the
cooperative will be the one to decide who will become the officers
like Chairman, Vice Chairman, Board of Directors, and different
Committee. The cooperative will also need to coordinate with the I.T
of the university to ensure that the members are always updated
with rules and regulations and other announcements of the officers
of the Cooperative. The cooperative is a voluntary membership.
There is a collection of membership fee and share capital. The
Cooperative will have activities that will ensure its profitability and
sustainability through the students loans. And after three years the
student cooperative will offer different kinds of services to grow
more the cooperative.

Accounting consultants develop various systems to improve efficiency of
accounting processes. Monitor all reporting requests and prepare reports to ensure
resolution if needed. Coordinate with management and ensure optimal quality of
services to all clients. Collaborate with our finance manager and resolve all accounting
issues for new products and system. Most importantly, she gives advice how are we
going to maximize our capital and how our sales will increase. These are some of the
duties and responsibilities of the accounting consultants that would help our business in
terms of finance.

organization. This professional needs to guard the company against the possible legal
complications. These professionals may have some particular legal specialties like
property, tax, real estate, intellectual, securities, etc. The role of our lcooperative
consultants is very essential to ensure that everything is officially permitted and
authorized.

PUPians QC Student Credit Cooperative was comes from the idea of

four (4) fourth year students of Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration major in Human Resources Development Management and
with the help of Prof. Artemus Cruz, who helped us to developed more our
idea. Studying in college is indeed a very expensive stage of ones
education. You need to pay your tuition, and other urgent payments that are
necessary to our academic activities like thesis and feasibility expenses. And
sometimes it becomes the reason why many students need to stop their
college life.
This is the reason why the four students come up with the idea of
establishing a student cooperative inside the campus. By this idea, we could
help our co-PUPians who are financially unstable by providing them quality
financial assistance and affordable rates of loans. This student cooperative
will be very beneficial to all the students of PUPQC who are willing to be a
member because we will embodied to them the culture of thriftiness by
means of savings account.
This cooperative will be a member-owned and controlled business that
operates for the mutual benefits of its members. We will be guided by the
officers of Tanglaw PUPQC Credit Cooperativ e on how to operate the student
cooperative.
