2.1.1 ODU SW Compatibility

An ODU/XCVR will always have SW loaded, and will be upgraded from the controller unit in the IFU when needed.
E.g. when a new SW revision is installed or when an ODU is changed from one system type to another.
The ODU SW in SW-EVOLUTION and SW-EVO-PDH-IFU-APP is common
The ODU SW in SW-EVO-XPAND-IP and SW-EVO-MICRO is common
But these two ODU SW packages are not compatible.
Please note the following:
Moving of ODU from XPAND IP to METRO/XPAND
XPAND/METRO systems require software revision R10A00 or later in order to convert an ODU/XCVR with SWEVO-XPAND-IP or SW-EVO-MICRO back to SW-EVOLUTION.
Moving of ODU from METRO/XPAND to XPAND IP
XPAND IP systems with Universal IFU will convert ODUs operating with SW-EVOLUTION R9A00 or later to SWEVO-XPAND-IP.
XPAND IP systems with Micro IFU can not convert ODUs operating with SW-EVOLUTION to SW-EVO-MICRO.
