Today we are going to talk about Cuba, one of the favorite places

for tourists on vacation, either for their beautiful beaches,


constants parties or historical places it has.
Their official name is Republic of Cuba, its located in the Gulf of
Mexico on the Caribbean ocean, their capital is La Habana, and it
has about eleven million people. Their official language is Spanish
but they also speak a lot of English and the official currency there

The weather in Cuba is Semi tropic; its has two different kinds of
season;
The first one: Winter, from November to April, where its less hot
The second one: Summer, from May to October, where

places to visit, but we are going to talk only about three of them:
La Habana Vieja: You should visit this, it has beautiful
architecture from colonial times. It is world heritage sites and
their historical places are; Catedral de la Habana, Castillo
de la Punta and Museo de la Revolucion .
Che Guevara Monument: It is located in La Revolucin
square, which is visited by thousands of tourists every year,
the museum was created to give information to the tourists
about the revolutionary history.
Toma del Tren Blindado Monument: It is located in Santa
Clara city and here was the battle lead by Che Guevara in
1958 against Batista dictatorship and beginning the
government of Fidel Castro.

showed us a little taste of the history and culture of Cuba

You need to get a passport, valid for 6 months since the day
you fly to Cuba.
You must have a tourist visa and its required to enter to
Cuba, It costs 20 dollars, its about $14.600 Chilean peso. You
only can stay there for 30 days with this document.

either a house or a hotel.

Suggestions:
You have to take care with the money exchange, because the
change into American dollars have an extra tax of about 10%.
Credit card are accepted, Visa and Master Card are the more usual
to use.
The clothes you have to wear when you visit this country must be
light, like cotton clothes, shorts and sandals. In winter, a less
intense summer, you might prefer to wear sweater and
comfortable shoes.

The main transport there is taxis, buses or tricycles called
Cocotaxis they are cheap. If you want to go to the different
islands there, you must take a flight, because you cant get there
on land. Also you can use ferries or boats.

A very important tip when you look for accommodation is


considered that there are many people in Cuba who rent their
houses for tourists, the government authorized these homes and
you can contact directly with the owners, this way, you can save a
lot of money.
But if we talk about the documents you need, its necessary a
medical insurance to get in to the country, if you dont have it,
they force you to buy a policy with ASISTUR, a state company.
