INTRODUCTION
Adi Ispat Private Limited was incorporated on dated 26th July 2004 under the supervision of its Directors Mr. Ashok Kr.
Sarawgi, Mr. Amit kr. Sarawgi & Mr. Sumit Kr. Sarawgi. Adi Ispat Private Limited started its manufacturing unit with a
7MT Induction melting Furnace at its Regd. Works in Manjhiladih, Gadi Srirampur, Giridih, Jharkhand which started its
commercial Production on August 2007 with an annual capacity of 18oooMT. It is one of the leading industries which are
producing High Quality low carbon MS Ingots in this region. Adi Ispat Private Limited then expanded by adding its
Second Steel Melting Shop of same capacity and its annual production capacity of MS Ingot rounded off to 36000MT
from dated September 2009. Adi Ispat private is now in its Expansion Mode in Phased manner and in Phase II it has
commissioned its Hi-Speed, Automated, and Continuous Rolling Mill Project with an annual capacity of 96000MT and
started its commercial Production from February 2010.

ABOUT DIRECTORS
Mr. Ashok Kr. Sarawgi is very dynamic and knowledgeable vast experienced person having an experience of more than
36 years in Steel Industry. He started his career at the age of 23 Years with m/s P.K.Industries in 1978 which is the first
SSI Scrap Processing unit at Giridih. He was the Promoter Director of first mini Re-Rolling Mill M/s Bir Steel (P) Ltd., at
Giridih in the year 1985. He also promoted another modern Re-Rolling Mill with Induction Furnace in the year 1993
having capacity of 400TPD in the name and style of M/s Atibir Hitech (P) Ltd. in the Year 2000. After that he became a
Partner of M/s Trishul Hitech Industries situated in Burnihat, Meghalaya and he was the key personal for the R&D and all
the Engineering Processes of the Industry.
Mr. Amit Kr. Sarawgi started his career in the age of 22 years by joining his family business of manufacturing Ingots and
Rolled Products, being run under the name of Atibir Hitech Private Limited, situated at Giridih. Further, he was also one
of the Promoter Directors of Atibir Industries Co. Ltd., running a Sponge Iron Mfg. unit of 400TPD capacity. He was
instrumental in setting up and commissioning of the unit.

ABOUT THE ROLLING MILL


Adi Ispat Private Limited is equipped with one of the state of Art indigenously developed its 500TPD Hi-Speed
Continuous Rolling Mill which is one of the highest capacity Mills in this region. It has introduced following upgradations
as compared to other conventional Mill.
(a) Gasifier:

We have introduced coal gasification system first in Giridih.


Our Coal Gasifier is imported from China with state of art high efficiency & low
maintenance Gas Plant. Concept of Introducing coal Gasifier to get high
temperature producer gas. It also minimizes the pollution caused by the
conventional Furnace Oil fired Re-Heating Furnaces. The use of coal Gasifier has
reduced the burning loss from 8-12% per day.

(b) PLC & SCADA:

We have made our Mill fully Automated for ONE MAN CONTROL by using
Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with SCADA (PC based User Interface. We
have worked on the following points of Automation.
i)
Recipe Management: In recipe management the mill operator has to
just click on the recipe we want to manufacture like if the operator has
a production plan of 100MT of 10mm, he has to just click on the 10mm
button and the PLC will decide and will start the respective machines
needed to mfg. the same.
ii)
Interlocking: In this function all the Motors, Pumps, Pinch Rolls, Shears,
etc are inter locked with each other. Example wise if we are
manufacturing 12mm TMT Rods and an error occurred like Motor failed
or Hydl. Pump failed or any other faults the PLC will automatically
bypass the respective stands in order to avoid accident and will shift
producing 16mm to continue the production process.
iii)
ONE MAN CONTROL: PLC & SCADA is used to minimize the usage of
men power and for the same using the PLC technology and SCADA
interface any person who has the basic knowledge of computer can
operate the complete Rolling Process.

(c) DC & AC Drive:

We are also using DC Drives for all the DC Motors


coupled with the Stands and AC Drives for Pinch Rolls and Shearing
System. Using Variable Frequency Drives helps us to minimize the
Electricity Consumption.

We are manufacturing the following High Quality Products:
MS Ingots
TMT Bars (8mm to 32mm)
Coils (5.5mm & 8mm)
Wire Rods

STRENGTHS
1. Proximity to the main raw materials required for the Project viz. sponge iron as there are a number of Sponge
Iron manufacturing units in the region.
2. Cheap undisrupted power required for this unit is available from the Damodar Valley Corporation. At present
33KV but we are upgrading to 132KV line.
3. The site is having Railway as well as National Highway link.
4. Close Proximity to Haldia / Kolkata Port.

With Having the Workshop, Maintenance becomes easier.


Adi Ispat Private Limited is having its own Machine Shop which is one of the biggest machine shop in Jharkhand. This
machine shop is equipped with 125mm Boring Machines, CNC Milling Machines, Radial Drills, Vertical Turret Lethes and
many more.
With the help of our Machine Shop we have indigenously developed our Rolling Mill by manufacturing the following
