POWER TRANSFORMER
OPERATING & MAINTENANCE

TARGET AUDIENCE

SAIEE-1475-V : 1 CPD credits : Category 1

OVERVIEW
Transformers generally give the appearance of being a
robust piece of distribution equipment, but in actual fact
remain susceptible to internal damage by through faults
and incorrectly set protection. The course therefore
provides a general understanding of power transformers
and actions required especially when a transformer has
been subjected abnormal operating conditions such as
sustained through and close up faults and an assessment
of the transformer condition is required.

Persons in the power distribution business such as

maintenance
engineers,
field
maintenance
staff
(Supervisors & technicians) and even technical staff
entrusted with the operation of substation equipment.

COST : R3,700 (incl. teas, lunches, and course

material) OR R3,000 discounted fee for active
SAIEE members
*Note: If proof of payment is received before
