Question 2
Read the following text. Then, answer questions (a) (j).

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. However, some people skip it
as they get up late and have to rush off to work. Some people just do not have the
habit of eating so early in the morning.
Having breakfast aids in maintaining a normal and healthy weight. It keeps
weight-related diseases such as heart diseases and high blood sugar at bay. Thus, it
leads to a longer and healthier life in the long run. Besides, breakfast provides energy
needed for bodily functions. The nutrients and energy gained from a good breakfast
help to maintain cell growth and repair. They also keep the body well-nourished to
perform well.
Skipping breakfast is definitely a huge mistake as it is needed to provide the
body with essential nutrients. Those who regularly skip breakfast put unnecessary
stress on their bodies and often find themselves feeling sluggish and getting tired
easily. This eventually takes a toll on the body, resulting in not only slower but also
weaker cell formation. The frequent skipping of breakfast can eventually lead to
serious health problems.
It is therefore very important that people should not give breakfast a miss.

Question 4
Read the text below.

There was a king who had a daughter and she was the fairest girl in the land.
As he was old, he wanted to find an heir to the throne to whom he would give his
daughters hand in marriage.
To achieve this, the person had to take up a challenge. The person had to be
brave enough to swim across the crocodile-filled moat around the palace. He
believed that the person who was courageous enough to do so would be suitable to
rule in his palace. Besides, he wanted a man who was determined.
The king called for all the men in his kingdom and they gathered around the
palace. He announced the challenge and the rewards but no one dared to jump into
the moat as this would risk their lives. They knew that the crocodiles would attack
anyone who jumped into the moat. Moreover, the creatures were left hungry so
they would be ferocious.
Although the king was disappointed, in reality, he had not expected anyone
to take up the challenge. As he was telling his people to return home, he suddenly
heard a distant splash. He rushed to the other side of the palace and saw a man
swimming in a state of panic. He was desperately trying to keep away from the
crocodiles in the moat. The people started to cheer for the brave young man. It was
a miracle that he survived. When he was out of the water, he shouted and
