INERGEN is stored in the Gaseous phase at 200 bar in a variety of cylinder sizes. The cylinders can be located up to 175m from the risk,
since relatively little time or agent is lost in the pipework. This gives great flexibility in the placing of bottles.
To reduce the storage area requirement for systems that protect more than 1 room, section valves are available to direct parts of the gas
cylinder battery to different pipe networks. This effectively allows an Inergen cylinder to protect more than 1 room.
Description of
operation
At the end of the time delay, the master cylinder is
fired electronically which releases Inergen into the
manifold and into the activation line, this in turn
operates all other Inergen cylinders connected to
the same pilot line.
At the same time the discharge pressure switch
connected to the manifold is operated, giving a gas
discharged confirmation back to the control panel.
