Raw Material and sourcing

The plant shall use multiple coarse grains with varying starch content such as
Jowar, Bajra, Maize and Broken Rice in order to make various starch derivatives
products, such as- HFS, LG, MDP and edible grade protein as by-product. The
plant shall be a Multi-feedstock grain based plant with the capability to use
various kinds of grains in either just one kind at a single time or in combination
of two or more kinds depending upon cost economics and availability. This shall
ensure consistent availability of the raw material in required quantity at best
possible prices.

Sorghum/Jowar
Sorghum is a variety of coarse cereal which is raised as grain for human
consumption and many of which are used as fodder plants either cultivated
or as part of pasture. The plants are cultivated in warmer climates
worldwide. Sorghum is known under a variety of names: great millet and
guinea corn in West Africa, Milo or Milo-maize in the United States. In India, it
is commonly referred to as Jowar. It has one of the highest areas under
cultivation in India, next only to wheat. It is an important world crop, used for
food, fodder, the production of alcoholic beverages, and biofuels.

Bajra/Pearl millet
Bajra or pearl millet is an important coarse grain crop and considered to be
the poor mans staple nourishment. It is the most widely grown type of
millet. It is believed to be the native of Africa, from where it spread to India
and other countries. It is one of the important crops of South Eastern Asia,
China, India, Pakistan, Arabia, Sudan, Russia and Nigeria. India is one of the
largest producers of Bajra. In India, it is grown in Haryana, Gujarat,
Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Bajra grains form a staple diet of
about 10% population in the country and also acts as valuable fodder for
cattle.

Maize/Corn
Maize (Corn), is of American origin, and after wheat and rice, it is the most
important cereal grain in the world. It provides nutrition to both humans and
animals. It serves as the basic raw material for the production of starch, oil
and protein, alcoholic beverages, food sweeteners and more recently fuel. In
India, majority of the Maize consumption is for feed use, primarily for poultry
feed. Corn is also widely used by the starch industry to produce starch and
starch derivatives. Because of its high starch content, it is also being used as
feedstock for manufacturing potable alcohol in India.
