Aim: to increase Ss knowledge of positive health behaviours and enhance wellness.
Learning objectives: (by the end of the lesson students will be able to):
-

understand the health benefits of regular physical activity


understand the importance of taking care of their teeth through proper dental hygiene and healthy eating
understand when and why they have to wash their hands

Procedures: conversation, dialogue, explanation, exercise


Class management: frontal, individual work, pair work, whole class

Skills: speaking, reading, writing
Materials: worksheets, board, notebook, pictures
Evaluation: initial through warm up, continuous through activities, observation, error correction, final through both oral and written feedback.

T writes on the board the title of the new lesson Health and asks them
questions:
1-what does it mean to them health and being healthy? (Being healthy means we
eat foods that are good for our bodies, we play and exercise.)
2-what foods do you like eat that are good for your bodies? (milk, fruits, eggs,
vegetables, meat, juice)
3-what is your favourite physical activity? (riding a bicycle, walking, running,
hide-and-seek)
4-why do you think we have teeth? (to eat, to talk and smile)
5-how can we keep our teeth healthy? (some foods can help make our teeth
strong-milk, cheese and yogurt, help clean our teeth apples, carrots, cucumbers)
6-why do we have to wash our hands? (so we dont get sick/germs)
