REGULATION ORDINANCE NO. 2016-115

AN ORDINANCE GRANTING TRUCK BAN EXEMPTION TO ONE (1) BUS UNIT (29
SEATER) OF VALLACAR TRANSIT, INC. FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF ITS
PERSONNEL FROM TANZA, CITY PROPER VIA DUNGON, JARO UNTIL VALLACAR
TRANSIT TERMINAL IN BRGY. CAMALIG, JARO, FROM 6:30 A.M. TO 7:15 A.M. AND
5:30 P.M. TO 6:30 P.M. DAILY

WHEREAS, Article Ill, Section 458 of Republic Act 7160 also known as the Local Government Code
empowers the Sangguniang Panlungsod to regulate the use of streets, alleys, sidewalks and bridges among
other;
WHEREAS, the newly opened Vallacar Transit, Inc. which is located at Brgy. Camalig, Jara, lloilo City
hired is personnel who are mostly residents of lloilo City;
WHEREAS, the administration of Vallacar intends to provide a service shuttle bus for their employees
and personnel who are residing in the City of lloilo for their convenience.
WHEREAS, there exists an ordinance regulating the entry of trucks in the City of lloilo passed by the
Sangguniang Panlungsod which ordinance is known as the Regulation Ordinance No. 2002-246, "An
Ordinance Providing for an Expanded Truck Ban in Specific Streets in the City of lloilo;
WHEREAS, said shuttle bus will not cause so much traffic for the reason that said shuttle bus is only
of one (1) unit and likewise, the same has its time frame to be followed from its point of origin to its destination.

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City of lloilo, in session
assembled, that:
Section 1. -A truck ban exemption is hereby granted to one (1) unit (29 seater) shuttle bus of Vallacar
Transit, Inc., particularty described, as follows:

under the following conditions, to wit:

Section 2. - The shuttle bus should be painted white without any route markings;
Section 3. - The use of the shuttle bus shall be exclusive for the pick-up and drop-off of the
employees/personnel of Vallacar Transit, Inc.;
Section 4. - The said shuttle bus shoud only ply the route from Tanza, City Proper to Brgy. Camalig,
Jara, lloilo City (via Brgy. Dungan, Jara) and vice versa;
Section 5. - The shuttle bus shall pick-up its employees/personnel; at Brgy. Tanza, City Proper from
6:30 A.M. - 6:45 A.M. and will reach its destination at 7:00 - 7:15 A.M. at Vallacar Transit Terminal, Brgy.
Camalig, Jara, lloilo City and in the afternoon, said shuttle bus shall again pick-up its employees/personnel at
the said terminal at around 5:30-6:30 P.M. in going back to Brgy. Tanza, City Proper;
Section 6. - This routine of the shuttle bus service of Vallacar Tran sit, Inc. will be exercised daily and
the time interval shculd be followed unless circumstances oocur.
Section 7. - This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
