A great leap for

the new era
Founded as Koreas first steel ship builder
in 1937, Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction
(HHIC) set numerous records
in the countrys shipbuilding history and
played a pivotal role in transforming Korea into
a global shipbuilding powerhouse.
HHIC ushered in the shipbuilding era in Korea.
The company is now forging a new era of
high value-added ships and offshore plants with
innovative technologies and processes.
To HHIC, the future represents a platform
for new challenges and a springboard for new
advances. HHIC is driven by firm
determination to turn its vision of leading
the global shipbuilding market into reality.
