Euthanasia

I agree in Euthanasia mercy killing. As what it might sound, other says that it is
an immoral act but it is not. When someone, brain dead, is accommodated in a
hospital, and his/her family might suffer financial status. TLC, tender love and
care is the only thing that can be applied if the family has bankrupted its wealth.
Now the only thing that can do is euthanasia, to ends someone suffering.
Another example is when a natural calamity occurs, you saw someone who was
stab by a metal tube in his body, he/she is still breathing but his/her blood is
dropping. You are nowhere to be rescued. He/she wanted to die so that he/she
wont suffer anymore.
Human beings have the right to decide when and how to die. It is cruel and
inhumane to refuse someone the right to die, when they are suffering intolerable
and unstoppable pain, or distress. Euthanasia should be allowed when it is in the
best interests of all involved and does not violate anyone's rights. Where health
resources are scarce, not considering euthanasia might deprive society of the
resources needed to help people with curable illnesses. I would like to be allowed
a good death myself, so I must allow one for everyone else who wants one.
Abortion
I disagree in Abortion because it is also a kind of killing and life is very important
and sacred. Human life must be respected and protected absolutely from the
moment of conception. From the first moment of his existence, a human being
must be recognized as having the rights of a person - among which is the
inviolable right of every innocent being to life. "The moment a positive law
deprives a category of human beings of the protection which civil legislation
ought to accord them, the state is denying the equality of all before the law.
When the state does not place its power at the service of the rights of each
citizen, and in particular of the more vulnerable, the very foundations of a state
based on law are undermined. As a consequence of the respect and protection
which must be ensured for the unborn child from the moment of conception, the
law must provide appropriate penal sanctions for every deliberate violation of
the child's rights.
The inalienable right to life of every innocent human individual is a constitutive
element of a civil society and its legislation, the inalienable rights of the person
must be recognized and respected by civil society and the political authority.
These human rights depend neither on single individuals nor on parents; nor do
they represent a concession made by society and the state; they belong to
human nature and are inherent in the person by virtue of the creative act from
which the person took his origin. Among such fundamental rights one should
mention in this regard every human being's right to life and physical integrity
from the moment of conception until death.
Death penalty
I disagree in death penalty. We cannot accept retribution or social vengeance as
a reason for taking a life. It violates our deepest belief in God as the creator and
the redeemer of human life. In this respect, there can be no assertion that
human life can take humanely by the state. Indeed, in the long run, the use of
death penalty by the state will increase the acceptance of revenge in our society

and will give official sanction to a climate of violence. Churches in the Philippines
argued that execution prevents that repentance and rehabilitation of offenders is
contrary of Christian love and violates the sanctity of human life. They have the
right to repent for their sins. If somebody commits crime, let the government
authorities punish that person but not to the extent of death penalty. Bloodless
methods of deterrence and punishment are preferred as they better correspond
to the concrete conditions of the common good and are more in conformity to
the dignity of the human person.
How could you revere God if you are fighting for death penalty should be
reimposed? How could you appreciate his creation if you are taking the life of it?
Let us all bear in mind that Jesus himself is a victim of capital punishment
instead of retribution and revenge, he forgave those who humiliated him and
even prayed for the. If God can forgive, why cant we? As God said, Love thy
neighbor as yourself.
Cloning
Cloning is the process of replicating a living thing. It is an achievement of the
advance engineering of scientist. I do not agree with this because it is like toying
the creation of God. If someone who can create life can be said as a god. The
catholic catechism of the church (CCC) indicates that In creation God laid a
foundation and established laws that remain firm, on which the believer can rely
with confidence, for they are the sign and pledge of the unshakeable faithfulness
of God's covenant. For his part man must remain faithful to this foundation, and
respect the laws which the Creator has written into it.
The various techniques of artificial reproduction, which would seem to be at the
service of life and which are frequently used with this intention, actually open the
door to new threats against life. Apart from the fact that they are morally
unacceptable, since they separate procreation from the fully human context of
the conjugal act, these techniques have a high rate of failure: not just failure in
relation to fertilization but with regard to the subsequent development of the
embryo, which is exposed to the risk of death, generally within a very short
space of time. Furthermore, the number of embryos produced is often greater
than that needed for implantation in the woman's womb, and these so-called
"spare embryos" are then destroyed or used for research which, under the
pretext of scientific or medical progress, in fact reduces human life to the level of
simple "biological material" to be freely disposed of (1995 encyclical letter of
Pope John Paul II The Gospel of Life 14).
Animal rights
The seventh commandment enjoins respect for the integrity of creation. Animals,
like plants and inanimate beings, are by nature destined for the common good of
past, present, and future humanity. Use of the mineral, vegetable, and animal
resources of the universe cannot be divorced from respect for moral imperatives.
Man's dominion over inanimate and other living beings granted by the Creator is
not absolute; it is limited by concern for the quality of life of his neighbor,
including generations to come; it requires a religious respect for the integrity of
creation. Animals are God's creatures. He surrounds them with his providential
care. By their mere existence they bless him and give him glory. Thus men owe
them kindness.

God entrusted animals to the stewardship of those whom he created in his own
image. Hence it is legitimate to use animals for food and clothing. They may be
domesticated to help man in his work and leisure. Medical and scientific
experimentation on animals is a morally acceptable practice if it remains within
reasonable limits and contributes to caring for or saving human lives. It is
contrary to human dignity to cause animals to suffer or die needlessly. It is
likewise unworthy to spend money on them that should as a priority go to the
relief of human misery. One can love animals; one should not direct to them the
affection due only to persons.
