After the influence of English to the Malaysia education system, it has brought some

significance changes that we can identify. The most significance change is the uses of English
among the students are more than the Malay language. The reasons of this change is students are
taught using the English language most of the time due to almost of the syllabuses are in English
language. Secondly is because many of the reference books for some subjects are in English and
students needs to learn or use English for understand the contents of the reference books. Lastly,
due to almost of the syllabuses has change to English language, most of the school in Malaysia
are looking for teachers that are efficient in English. And the other significance change of the
influence of English to the Malaysia education system is English is seems to be a compulsory
language to master in the academic world. There are some reasons to support this change, and
one of those is students have to take the MUET (Malaysia University English Test) exam before
getting into university. Furthermore, English is used widely in the higher education. The last
reason is many of the academic sources for the higher education are in English. I learned that
there are some clear changes that we can see after the influences of English in Malaysia
education system.
In conclusion, we can see there are some clear changes before and after the influences of
English in Malaysia education system. As students, we should be aware of these changes because
it involves our future and we are tied to this education system. Even we dislike it, we must obey
to the system. Teachers are also has some difficulties due to these changes and still, they must
follow the sytem. The influence of English in Malaysia education system has brought many
changes. Therefore, we have to adapt and improvise to these changes so that we can have
brightest future.
