Dear Sir,
I am writing to you for my interest and eagerness in participating a three month internship
program within your company in Miri, Sarawak. I learned of Shin Yang through Curtin Sarawak.
As a third year student of Bachelor of Chemical Engineering in Curtin Sarawak, I am still
striving for academic success. However, I believe that academic success is not everything,
interpersonal and critical thinking skills are equally important for the key of success. Thus, I
would like to take this internship opportunity to develop strong interpersonal skills and also learn
to be adaptable when facing changes in real life situations.
The reason I choose Shin Yang Plywood to complete my 3-month internship is because I am
motivated to expand my horizon on the production process of different types of plywood and
their applications. Besides, I am also interested in how the reforestation is done in a large scale to
ensure long time supply of timber. Since Shin Yang Plywood is a quality-driven with strong
global background, it is the best platform to gain valuable experience during my internship.
Upon graduation, I hope that I will be able to achieve first class honours in degree and also be
well-equipped with extensive knowledge to face challenges in working life. I also hope that I
will grow and bound as a trustworthy and inspiring leader in the future so that my ambition of
becoming an executive director can be fulfilled. In addition, being involved with extracurricular
activities and maintaining good academic result at the same time has shaped me in ability of
multi-tasking, problem-solving, and also team working.
