Field Study 3: Technology in the


Learning Environment
Based from the internet, Learning resource center is a facility
within a school which was operated by a specialist and containing
several information sources. It must be developed and benefitted to
educate all people and provide quality education. It must have
current resources for it is an avenue for learning. School planning,
organization and management is directly related to human and
physical resources. The basic behind it, is that school should be able
to utilize all the resources in best possible way, so that they prove to
be successful in performing their duties. For performing their duties,
school employees and teachers require an effective leadership but at
the same time they require a good and conducive environment in the
school for their proper functioning.
This Field Study 3: Technology in the Learning Environment
course provides students with enriching experiences in developing
and utilizing technology to facilitate learning.The teacher engaged
more in using technology by integrating in classroom instructions.
That is why my first week of observation in Sabang Elementary
School is exciting because as a student teacher of modern generation,
we are more interested to learn the high- technological way of
teaching than the traditional way. Although theres nothing wrong
about using the old way, it is best for us to learn the modern way of
teaching for us to be an effective teacher to our pupils in the near
future.

I have learned a lot of things during my first week in Sabang


Elementary School. My effort and spending a long time for visiting a
learning resource center, observation in classroom is really useful as
my guide for my wanted profession. I believed that I can used these
knowledge for a lifetime, especially when Im in the real field of
teaching.

Field Study 2: Experiencing the Teaching


Learning Process
Field Study 2 is the second in a series of six related field study
courses. It is focused primarily on observing the teachers application
of the teaching theories and principles and his/her classroom
management skills in the learning environment. It has special
reference to aspects such as creating a conducive teaching-learning
atmosphere, observing a child friendly school environment, discipline,
use and care of supplies and reference materials, the physical
features of the classroom and, general housekeeping.
During my first week of observing in Sabang Elementary
School, observing inside the classroom was the first thing that I did
before doing an observation outside the classroom. How the learning
materials are arranged, the seating arrangement of the pupils and
how the teacher motivate her pupils to participate on her discussion.
When I first entered in the classroom that Im assigned to
observed, first thing that I noticed was the seating arrangement of
the pupils. Honestly I am impressed with her strategy because
separating the good, better, and best inside the class room is a good
idea for me because the teacher can easily determine where is she
going to exert more effort in teaching.

In my first week of observation in Sabang Elementary School, I


already gained more knowledge on how to be an effective teacher.
Before we teach, we must determine first who among tour students
need more of your help to understand what the teacher is discussing.
