Your Analysis

1. What values are reflected by the policies and guidelines found in the school or
teacher manual. Put your answers in the matrix above. You may choose to put
some additional comments here.

These are values that are essential for the teacher to become professional. These are the
standards.

2. Cite the legal provisions/laws that are exemplified by each of the following
guidelines/policies that you included in your matrix. To help you, focus on the
provisions of the following:
a. Magna Carta for Public School Teachers
b. Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers
c. Manual of Regulations for Private School
d. Certain parts of the Labor Code
e. Philippine Teachers Professionalization Act of 1994
Write your additional comments here.
The following legal provisions/laws are the pillars of education. These made possible the
conduct of the process. This is very essential for this is where the duties, obligation,
rights, incentives, and other things that are belong to the teaching-learning process.

Your Reflections

1. How do you feel about the policies and guidelines concerning teachers? How
will you respond to them in the future?
Policies and guidelines concerning teachers seem to be fair and just. Therefore at the
future when I am already at the field, Ill make sure that Ill obey those policies and
guidelines. But still I am looking forward to the improvement of the policies and
guidelines for the sake of the teachers.

2. What insights/realizations did you have about the demands of being a

professional teacher? How will you meet these challenging demands in the
future?
I realize that teaching professions is very demanding. It is some kind of a profession
that will test your patience, determination, hard work, and dignity. This is not a
simple profession where you will just be sitting somewhere and wait until something
happens. This required your effort and your time. As a teacher you need to go with all
of these with not so much compensation. This is no luxurious profession.

3. What are your values and strengths that can help you become a true
professional?
I think being patient, determined, passionate, simple, hard working, and a loving
person (especially to the children) can help you become one. Being patient means that
you never lose temper easily. This is no ordinary profession. You need to go through
all the naughty children. You need to be more understanding. Being determined
means that you never give up early, you should not stop doing the right things to
achieve your goals. You are passionate if you love what you are doing and if you love
what you are doing it will lead you the right ways. Being simple means you dont need
luxury because this profession cannot give you one (of course that always depends on
you). Hard working is that you do everything to achieve your goals. Finally, you need
to love the children. Love them like they are your own children.
