Ryan Prosperity Action, Inc. is a joint fundraising committee (JFC) composed of Ryan for Congress,
Inc. and Prosperity Action, Inc. (each individually, a Committee and collectively, the Committees).
All Committees are registered with the Federal Election Commission.
The maximum amount an individual or a federal non-multicandidate political committee may
contribute to Ryan Prosperity Action, Inc. is $7,600. The maximum amount a federal multi-candidate
political committee may contribute to Ryan Prosperity Action, Inc. is $10,000.
All contributions to Ryan Prosperity Action, Inc. from permissible donors who have not exceeded their
applicable federal contribution limits, shall be allocated among the participating Committees pursuant
to the following method:
Contributions from individuals or non-multicandidate federal political committees, up to a maximum of
$7,600, will be divided between the two Committees as follows: (1) the first $2,600 is allocated to Ryan
for Congress, Inc. and designated for the 2014 general election; and (2) the next $5,000 is allocated to
Prosperity Action, Inc. Contributions from federal multicandidate political committees, up to a
maximum of $10,000, will be divided between the two Committees as follows: (1) the first $5,000 is
allocated to Ryan for Congress, Inc., and designated for the 2014 general election; and (2) the next
$5,000 is allocated to Prosperity Action, Inc.
All contributions otherwise permissible under federal law, but which would cause a contributor to
exceed any applicable Federal contribution limit to a specific Committee, shall be reallocated to the
remaining Committees to the extent permitted by federal law according to this allocation formula. Any
contribution that would cause a contributor to exceed any applicable Federal contribution limit, even
after re-allocation, or is otherwise impermissible under federal law shall be refunded to the
contributor.
Any contributor may designate his or her contribution to a specific participating Committee(s), to the
extent permissible under federal law. Any contributor may make his or her contribution payable
directly to any of the specific participating Committee(s) listed in paragraph one of this notice. Any
such designated contribution that causes the contributor to exceed the contribution limit to the
designated Committee shall not be reallocated by Ryan Prosperity Action, Inc. absent the prior written
permission of the contributor as required by law.
Contributions to Ryan Prosperity Action, Inc., or any of the participating committees individually, are
not deductible as charitable contributions for Federal income tax purposes. All funds received in
response to this solicitation will be subject to federal contribution limits and prohibitions. Contributions
from corporations, labor organizations, national banks, foreign nationals without green cards, and
federal government contractors are prohibited.
Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address,
occupation, and name of employer of each individual whose aggregate contributions exceed $200 in a
calendar year or election cycle, as applicable.
