WHAT IS CONSUMER MARKET KNOWLEDGE AND INSIGHTS (CMK)?
CMK: Experts on consumer and marketing understanding and insights. At P&G the consumer is boss.
CMK's unique responsibility is to champion the voice of the consumer and be on the forefront of market
trends. Our core work is the integration of consumer, shopper and market understanding to catalyze
business growth across all of our bands. We uncover, interpret and champion consumer and market
insights grounded in deep understanding of consumer needs and behaviors through Research to enable
P&G businesses to better serve the worlds consumers. CMK Managers influence the direction of our
businesses by: 1) generating deep insights and integrated stories to grow brand leadership; 2) clearly
understand consumer needs, behaviors and motivations and activating that understanding to enable
consumer focused business choices; 3) understanding consumer trends and behaviors to determine
best opportunities for growth; and, 4) delivering successful brand execution, initiatives, and maximizing
ROI of marketing and in-store activities. You will have the unique responsibility of uncovering,
interpreting, and championing consumer insights, enabling you to be a hero for the people we serve and
to inspire winning brand strategies, communication and marketing plans. By leading the consumer
learning journey, we enable brand and customer teams to internalize and activate these critical insights
that build our brands. CMK is a consumer understanding powerhouse that is unparalleled in the industry

fuel business growth and lead to breakthrough innovation.
