The "Opening doors to Europe" project teams invite all students to participate in this

competition for innovative ideas to create a new business.


1.

OBJECTIVES
a. Encourage entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation of our students;
b. Develop a supportive environment for creativity;
c. Develop students' analytical skills by encouraging reflection, critical thinking
and the ability of expression and argumentation;
d. Encourage the ability to identify problems around them and generate creative
and innovative ideas with the ability to set up new solutions and new business
opportunities;
e. Promote the work and team spirit;
f.

Reward and disseminate innovative ideas;


PARTICIPANTS

2.

Teams of students / trainees (maximum two), monitored by a teacher or a


mentor can participate.
3. REQUIREMENTS

a. Develop creative and / or innovative ideas that will translate into viable
business opportunities.
b. Viability of the service or innovative product
c. A presentation will be made in an appropriate digital format (eg PPT, Prezi,
video, ...) not exceeding 5 minutes.
d. The presentation must contain the following information:

School Identification

Identification of the team members

Company name / product or service

Business idea (What is the idea? Main advantages and added value of the
enterprise / product or service?)

Company / Product or Service (Quality, innovation of the enterprise / product


or service?)

Target audience (Who will buy the product / servisse? identification and its
characteristics?)

Images / illustrations of the product / service and its process.

The presentation should be sent, with the identification of the team

4. CRITERIA AND SCORING

1. The criteria and the score will be allocated as follows:


a. The Company Name / product or service: 1 to 10 points
b. Innovation and creativity of the idea (new methods / processes /
procedures and products; originality of ideas): 1-35 points
c. Viability of the business idea (its business potential): 1 to 20 points
d. Planning and organization (project phases; roles of each team member;
dynamic cooperative work; mobilization of human and material resources):
from 1 to 15 points
e. Presentation (originality; capacity for synthesis, expression and argument in
the presentation): 1 to 20 points
2. The result of each IDEA will be obtained through the arithmetic average of the
scores given by each member of the jury.
PHASES AND SCHEDULING
a. 1st contest phase:
This phase will be held in each school at the beginning of the school year

2016/2017 and must be completed until February 28th, 2017.


All presentations must be sent until ..XXXXXXX (each school must decide)
After concluding this phase, only one winning IDEA must be chosen in each

partner school, that will proceed to the 2nd phase of the competition.
b. 2nd contest phase:
- This second phase will take place in Portugal between 6th and 11th March,

2017.
Of the six finalists teams the jury will determine the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.

6. INFORMATION

All the information about the competition is available at the project website and at
each school, eTwinning, facebook / social networks,
7. SELECTION PANEL

a.

For the 1st phase, the evaluation of the IDEAS will be carried out by a jury

formed by Erasmus + coordinator and two other elements of the school.


For the 2nd phase, the evaluation of the projects will be carried out by a jury
made up of one teacher from each school and two other people with business

The selected elements of the jury will ensure the quality in the selection of
the proposed ideas.
