Barangay Profile:
Barangay 406, Zone 4, IV District Manila is situated along the North Side
which is J. Fajardo Street, on the East Side is F. Cayco Street, on the South
Side is F. Jhocson Street and our Barangay Hall is located at 665 Sancho
Street, it is a residential area.
Barangay 406 has an estimated population of Seven Hundred Fifty (750)
persons. Our registered voters totaled to Four Hundred Sixty-Three (463)
persons and Seventy-Two (72) registered Senior Citizens.
Among our programs being implemented are Holy Mass every 2nd
Saturday of the month, twice a month Clean-Up Drive, Anti-Dengue
Fumigation, monthly feeding for children, Medical Mission, Distribution of
School Supplies during opening of classes in the month of June, the Linggo
ng Wika for the kabataan, cultural activities during fiesta, Gift Giving every
Christmas and we are studying on what more program suited in our
community that we need to implement. We are also planning on the
implementation of Livelihood programs that will help our less fortunate
constituents.

A BARANGAY RESOLUTION CREATING CHAIRMAN AND MEMBERS OF
VARIOUS COMMITEES.
WHEREAS, the Barangay Council have undertaken different projects which
they saw and felt are prioritized need and requirement of the community;
WHEREAS, the Barangay Council in order to make use of the funds
granted to them, have created committees which will take charge of
canvassing of the right price/s of supplies and materials, inspection of the
right items of supplies and the awarding of the said supplies and materials
to the lowest bidder/supplier;

NOW THEREFORE, the Barangay Council hereby creates and approved the

AN ACT RECOGNIZING THE BARANGAY ANTI-DRUG ABUSE COUNCIL
(BADAC), STATING ITS LEGAL BASIS AND DEFINING ITS FUNCTIONS.

WHEREAS, the constitution mandates that the government shall promote


the welfare and improve the quality of life of the people;
WHEREAS, section 16 of RA 7160 provides the local government unit shall
pursue the undertakings to improve public morals and maintain peace and
order among equally significant concerns;
WHEREAS, DILG Memorandum Circular No. 98-227 dated December 2,
1998, provided the creation of Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council (BADAC)
in the barangays;
NOW, THEREFORE, by the authority vested in me as Punong Barangay
under RA 7160, including but not limited to section 398 (3) and (14) of the
said code, and subject to my continuing and ultimate authority and
responsibility to act in such matters, I, as Chief Executive in our Barangay,
do hereby organized the ANTI-DRUG ABUSE COUNCIL (BADAC), as follows:

1. Plans, strategize, and implement and evaluate programs,
projects and activities on drug abuse prevention in the barangay;

2. Coordinate and collaborate with other institutions implementing


programs, projects concerning drug abuse at the barangay level;
3. Continuously gather and update data on drug abuse and its
effect on peace and order situation in the barangay, including
listings of drug user and pusher.
