MANGAL MAHAL :- Expresses the power of MARS, is depicted in RED

colour,houses the administration offices and the director office with a dome in
the middle. The dome represents the entire cosmos which is painted on it.
Along the walls is an explanation of navgrha.
Flooring is done with white marble, yellow jaiselmer , terrazzo floor with walls
plastered and painted. Dome is of R.C.C. with earth colors on interior surfaces.
Dome gives a grand and welcoming entrance.
BUDH MAHAL :- Its symbolizes education & is painted in GOLDEN YELLOW, it
consists of 5 museums out of which one large museum (ALANKAR) is located on
the first floor. This museum is about the lifestyle of rural Rajasthan, boasting of
its own art in woodcraft nd home management just next to an art gallery of
modern art representing famous painters and sculptors asa well as an exhibition
gallery for terracotta.
Flooring of white marble , yellow jaiselmer and red sandstone, with red and white
painted walls. It have chatris of R.C.C. used as skylights.
SHANI MAHAL: - Symbolizes knowledge, Has the workshops and the displays
areas. Painted the REDS & EARTHY BROWNS with the symbol of the bow. It
includes a street of houses and studios for the rajasthani traditional craftsmen
who demonstrates their unique skills here.
Flooring is of white marble and red sandstone with red painted walls. Also has
carved jails serving as windows.
RAHU & KETU MAHAL :-This represents anger & colour is BLACK, which
houses the rajasthani costumes and textiles. RAHU is equated with the eclipse of
the sun and is symbolized by the color pearl grey. An exhibition celebrating the
legendry heroism of rajasthani warriors through the centuries is located here.
Flooring is done with white marble, black granite , terrazzo with walls white
paint.
GURU MAHAL :- This represents knowledge & thus houses the library & the
documentation centre. (THIRTEEN THOUSAND BOOKS). The color lemon yellow
represents meditation.

Walls are painted yellow with tinted glass curtain.


Flooring is of white marble and kota stone. The net of tubelights provide a
uniform lighting throughout the room. P. V .C. pipes support the pergola.
SURYA MAHAL :- This symbolized the centre of the universe & creative energy &
thus has a central kund, an open air theatre MADHYAVARTI designed as a
stepwell meant to house large crowds , an ideal place for musical performance on
a summer evening, or the enactment of a play in winter.
The steps and walls are of red sandstone.
CHANDRA MAHAL :- This symbolizes romantic and sensuous emotions and the
color is white which houses a cafeteria & facilities for visitors. Tables in the
cafeteria are designed after the phases of moon. The painting on the western side
wall shows lunar eclipse, a panel on the north side wall depicts different phases
of the moon the one on the south wall is a picture about an eclipse falling in the
month of Bhadra ( September) and is likely impact on human life.
It has kota stone and terrazzo floor with white plastered painted walls including
paintings. METAL HANDRAILS supported by 2 high wall. R.C.C. pergolas have
fixed strips of teak wood. it also has one white marble fountain.

SHUKRA MAHAL :- This represents art & art forms, and has the performance
areas, the
theatre (RANGAYAN) near the entrance in the tilted square.
Yellow jaiselmer flooring with carpet and wooden floor on stage, wall treated with
white paint and given acoustical
And stage lighting treatment with different types of light bars. It has coffered
ceiling.
