I am requesting funding for Dallas Floodway Extension in fiscal year 2009. The entity to receive
funding for this project is City of Dallas, located at 1500 Marilla Street, 4DN, Dallas, TX 75201 . The
funding would be used for continuation construction funding for this central component of the Trinity
River Corridor. The Dallas Floodway Extension is a joint effort between the City of Dallas and the
Army Corps of Engineers consisting of a chain of wetlands and system of protective levees. The
flood control improvements will reduce flooding for 12,500 structures in the Central Business District

As the committee continues its work on the Fiscal Year 2009 Energy and Water Development
appropriations measure, I ask that you give every consideration to funding an important Section
205 flood control study in my congressional district.
The Fiscal Year 2008 Energy and Water bill included $98,000 for the initiation of a feasibility
study for the City of Findlay, Ohio, which recently saw three of its worst floods in history in a 13-
month period. These floods devastated the city, causing significant financial damage to the
downtown business district and displacing hundreds of residents. The city is fully prepared to
provide matching funds for the completion of this feasibility study, for which I am requesting
$152,000 in federal funds in FY09.
To the best of my knowledge, this request is not directed to an entity or program that will be
named for a sitting member of Congress, is not intended for use by an entity to secure funds for
other entities, and meets or exceeds all statutory requirements for matching funds where

I am requesting funding for the Restoration of Cat Islands Chain in fiscal year
2009. The entity to receive funding for this project is the Brown County Port and
Solid Waste Department located at 2561 S. Broadway Street, Green Bay, WI
54304. The funding would be used for the purpose of restoring environmentally
significant islands in the lower Green Bay using clean navigational dredge
materials. I certify that neither I nor my spouse has any financial interest in this
project.
