446, Total 1,339.18. Many thanks for your generosity. The retiring collection for CAFOD Harvest
Fast Day raised 1,417.53. Thank you for your generous support and prayers. Your support means
more of their brothers and sisters across the world will have the materials and training they need to
be able to grow enough food for their families. Please continue to pray for this work and for the gifts of
Gods earth to be shared by all. NEXT weekend the Holy Father invites all Catholics to contribute to
a special collection for Missio, his official charity for overseas mission. World Mission Sunday is a
special day that unites Catholics all over the world in prayer, celebration and care for the mission of
the Church. By supporting World Mission Sunday you are directly helping missionaries in Rwanda
and around the world to help heal the broken-hearted. You will be able to Gift Aid all donations by
using envelopes provided by Missio which can be found in the Church porches.
CONGRATULATIONS to Samuel Brainoo and Jennifer Ossei-Williams who are to be Married on
Saturday, 22nd October. We wish them every blessing.
CONGRATULATIONS to Orla Geraldine Gough, Nathan Wreczycki and Moses Dembele, who will be
Baptised on Saturday, 22 nd October. Please pray for their parents, grandparents and their
Godparents.
DECEASED Please pray for Anita Malone RIP who died last weekend, her Funeral Service will be
held at Slough Crematorium on Monday, 24th October at 3.00pm. May her soul and the souls of all
the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen

PARISH MASS COUNT Week three of the annual Parish Mass count.
MASS CHANGES There will no Mass at 9.30am on Friday, 21 st October in Our Lady of Peace,
Mass will be at 7.30pm in St Gilberts.
CATHOLIC WOMENS LEAGUE The Catholic Women's League would like to thank all those
who contributed items to their National Charity this year, which gave support to local refuges.
With your help, 90 items were donated locally. Nationally, over 17,000 items, both large and
small, have been donated. Thank you for your generosity.
BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE As in previous years, the Book of Remembrance will be kept in the
Blessed Sacrament Chapel during November. Please leave the names of any relatives and
friends you wish to be entered in the Book of Remembrance by Sunday, 23rd October, for the
book to be ready for the 1st November. Kindly print the names clearly if the names have
already been entered there is no need to enter them again. Please return names to the
Presbytery.
REJOICE IN MOTHERHOOD : MOTHERS PRAYERS For Mothers who wish to pray together
for their children and grandchildren - Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties! Please come and join us
as we pray for our children, Our Lady of Peace Church at 10.30am on Thursdays. All Christian

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION 2017
If your child is in Year 3, and you wish your child to receive their First Holy
Communion in May 2017, you will need to enrol them on the First Holy Communion
programme. The First Holy Communion classes will begin in January 2017 and will
be held at St Andrews on Saturday mornings. The second date for enrolment will be
on Thursday, 20th October between 7.00pm and 8.00pm. and will be held in the
Sacristy at Our Lady of Peace Church. Parents will need to complete an enrolment
form which will be available on the enrolment date. If your child was Baptised in
another Parish, you will need to bring with you a copy of the childs Baptism
certificate: if you cannot find it, you will need to contact the Parish where your child
was Baptised and obtain it before the enrolment meeting.

300 CLUB The Autumn draw for the 300 Club took place on Sunday, 9th October after the
Eucharist service. The winners were : 1st Prize 50 No 23 Ken King. 2nd Prize 35 No 32
Bernard Rafter. 3rd Prize 15 No 62 John & Peggy Vint. As the 300 Club has gained some new
subscribers they have been able to increase the amount of the 2nd prize and add a third prize.
Draws are held quarterly and on St Andrews day, you can join at any time and then will be
entered in the next quarterly draw. Forms are on all the Church noticeboards or ring Shelagh on
01753 516502 and leave a message.
CHURCH CLEANING Saturday, 22nd October at 8.30am. Please try and spare an hour to help.

POP GOES THE CHOIR Saturday, 22nd October at 7.00pm at St Andrew's. Tickets on sale at
5. A really enjoyable musical treat awaits you. With the kind permission of Minister Robin
Scott, we may use the Baptist Church carpark for excess parking on the evening, this is
located opposite St Andrew's in Elmshott Lane.
CHRISTMAS CARDS Mary McCarthy will be selling Christmas Cards at St Andrews after
11.30am Mass on Sunday, 23rd October. Proceeds towards St Gilberts Mission project.
SPIRIT AND LIGHT WORSHIP Evening with Prayer, Praise and Worship at St Andrews, on
Friday, 28th October, in the Glorious Presence of Our Lord Jesus at 7.30pm. With Streams of
powerful anointing, the evening will be led by Fr Simon and will begin with a teaching and a
reflection followed by praise and prayer. All welcome. Please call Millie on 07957 594646 for

NORTHAMPTON CATHEDRAL MASS celebrating Women, Mothers and Families in this Year
of Mercy. Saturday, 29th October at 12 noon. Celebrant Bishop Peter. Everyone welcome.
ADORATION There will be an extended Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Monday, 31st
October from 7.00pm to midnight at Our Lady of Peace. Pope Francis has stressed that "In this
world, we need profound conversion and an urgent revival of faith in Christ". All welcome to join
us in prayer for the Holy Fathers intention.
VOCATIONS WEEKEND at Northampton Cathedral 4th 6th November. Come follow me and I
will make you Fishers of Men. Is the Lord calling you to the Priesthood? For more information

DIVINE MERCY PILGRIMAGE to the Shrine of Our Lady Knock from 7th 11th November
