Insert an in-text citation (the authors surname and the date of publication within
parentheses) straight after a direct quote
Insert an in-text citation at the end of the sentence where a source has contributed, but
was not a direct quote
If you have already mentioned the authors name in the sentence, you only need to insert
the date immediately after their surname
