The eight planets in our solar system

Mercury
- It is the closest planet to the sun
- It is the smallest planet in our solar system
- It is rocky and filled with craters
- It is a ball of iron
- It has no atmosphere, no air and water,
- It has no moons
Venus
- It is the second closest planet to the sun
- It is the hottest and brightest planet in our solar
- It spins/ moves anti-clockwise, backwards, the other way and much more slowly
- It is the home to the volcanos
- It is named The Veiled Planet because it is surrounded/ covered by clouds
- It is called Morning Star and Evening Star
- It has no moon and no water
Earth
- It is the third planet around the sun
- It is called The Blue Planet because of the oceans and seas.
- It has lands, too.
- It is the only planet with life on it, the place where we all live.
- It is the only planet with organic life on it
- It has four seasons
- It has a moon
- It has North Pole, South Pole and equator
- It revolves/ moves/ rotates around the sun
Mars
- It is the forth planet from the sun
- It is similar to Earth, it has four season, too.
- It is nicknamed The Red Planet because of its rocky, red surface.
- It is covered with dust
- It has the largest volcano of the solar system
- It has the highest mountains in our solar system
- It has two moons
Jupiter
- It is the biggest planet in the solar system
- It spins the fastest
- It has the biggest moon
- It is the home to the biggest hurricane, The Red Spot
- It is a gas giant with rings around it
Saturn
- It is the second largest planet in our solar system (the 2nd biggest planet)
- It is a gas giant, gas planet, too (full of gases)
- It has 62 moons, Titan is its biggest moon
- It has 6 rings, circles around it made of ice, rocks and dust
Uranus
- It is the third gas giant, it is all blue
- It is an icy gas giant
- It has rings made of dust
- It is a very cold planet

Neptune
- It is the coldest planet in our solar system
- It is the farthest planet from the sun
- It is an icy gas giant, too
- It is the home to the strongest winds in the solar system
- It has blue colour and many storms
Pluto
- It is no longer a planet
- It is an object that is similar to a planet but isnt large enough to disturb other objects in its orbit
- It is called The Dwarf Planet
The Moon
- It is a satellite that revolve around the Earth
- It has a rocky surface with craters
The Sun
- It is a very big star and life on Earth depends on it.
- It is a burning ball of fire
The Galaxy: Stars, Comets, Asteroids, The Milky Way Galaxy,
Polaris is The North Star and its the brightest star in the sky
The Big Dipper and The Little Dipper (7 stars each)

All the planets keep moving/ orbit around the sun whole day and whole night.
