Outcomes
Medium

The mentor/mentee
relationship would
help new teachers to
feel supported
throughout their first
and second year at
the school

Retain teachers
at the school, by
allowing them a
support system.

Creates
familiarity,
which leads to
collaboration.

Long

The main
objective was to
help new teachers
become confident,
knowledgeable,
and successful
teachers. The
program director
foresaw that after
two years (the
initially program
length) in the
program that
teachers would
reflect these traits,
but almost as
important would
be retained by the
school. It would
also create an
environment of
familiarity and
togetherness. This
will lead to a
higher staff morale
and a more
positive working
environment.

Assumptions: The program director knows that the program needs work but is unsure what in the program is working as
intended, what just needs to be altered, what needs to be added, and what needs to be removed altogether. The school has a
real passion to help the new teachers, but is unsure which efforts are meeting target goals. The program director is also
interested to find out if there are things being implemented by individual mentors that are proving to be useful that could be good
for others to implement. The director is very open to hear feedback about the program.
