Deut. 32:5their spot is not the spot of his children

Heavenly Father and Holy Lord:
I thank you I found the sweet-spot, secret-spot that always shows I am a
child of God. I would be foolish to try and determine this on by own assessment,
so your word reveals it to me. I thank you I can now know with certainty where I
will spend eternity, because I have your word of revelation for my guide. So Lord,
this is the spot I pray others will find! Because
John 1:12 as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of
God
I pray for __________ and __________ that they will receive Jesus into
their heart and be made a child of God.
John 1:12 even to them that believe on his name:
I pray for __________ and __________ that they will believe on Jesus
name, and simply from their heart trust Christ the crucified, who is now exalted
to be their redeemer. This will make them a member of the family of the Most
High. Whatever else they may not have or may not know, if they have this they
have the privilege of being a child of God. Lord, make it so!
John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
Here it is in a nutshell. Christ comes as a shepherd, and his sheep recognize
him, trust him, and prepare to follow him. Lord, may all the lost people I work
with, go to school with, and have contact with come to know you in the same
way, with the same constant connection I have as your child. This sweet spot is
the sure spot and indelible mark of being saved and belonging to your family. I
beg you O Lord, let not this year yet pass until they have committed their souls to
Jesus. Help me be a wise winner of souls for eternity, for Jesus sake. Amen.

A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING

Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 19-21; Hebrews 1
Thursday, October 27

Isa. 32:1-2 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in
judgment. And a man shall be as an hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest;
as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

BENEATH thy cross I lay me down, and mourn to see Thy bloody crown;
Love drops in blood from every vein; love is the spring of all thy pain.
Here, Jesus will I ever stay, and spend my longing hours away;
Think on Thy bleeding wounds and pain, and contemplate Thy woes again.
The rage of Satan and of sin, of foes without, and fears within,
Shall neer my conquering soul remove or from Thy cross, or from Thy love.
Secure from harm beneath Thy shade, here death and hell shall neer invade;
Nor Sinai, with its thundering noise, shall eer disturb my happier joys.
Oh, unmolested happy rest! Where inward fears are all suppressed;
Here I shall love, and live secure, and patiently my cross endure.

TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS MIRACLES

Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 13-15; Titus 3
Tuesday, October 25

John 9:25 One thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
Miraculous Master:
I will never move the world if I let the world keep moving me. My
influence on others will only increase if I make my witness for Christ a personal
one. What grace has done for me can be used to establish the faith of someone
else. I need to say, One thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
Then, even those who hate the changes in me wont be able to help
noticing them. They know I was blind, but now I see. They know I was not
moral, but now am virtuous. They know I was addicted, but now am free. They
know I despised God, but now I fear him. That is the best answer for skeptics.
We should be doing much better if instead of writing books of argument
[or making Facebook posts], and entering into debates, we each keep on, in our
area, attempting to convert souls, imploring the Spirit of God to come down on
us, and make us spiritual fathers and mothers in Israel! C.H. Spurgeon
Oh, that others could see Jesus like I do since you gave me sight! Make me
see a new beauty in Christ. Make me see a new loveliness in the gospel. Make me
see an excellence in God my Father. If I have new eyes, do not let me use them
to find a place to hide. I want to come out as boldly before others as this man
did. If you have given me grace in my heart, give me the courage to confess it!
Praise the Lord, I can see clearly now. Sin that once was my joy is now my
shame. I come to church in a different spirit. My attitude to trials has changed.
My language is not what it was. I have watched my temper to curb my temper.
My nature is different. You have re-engineered my personality according to the
input of information from your Word. You have transformed my attitude,
conforming me to Christs image. So make me into a stronger witness. Amen.
FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY
Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 22-24; Hebrews 2
Friday, October 28

Eph. 1:22-23 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head
over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Loving Lord and Living Head:
We beg you to keep our church in your watchcare. Help us lean only on the
hope of your grace to be defended by your mighty power.
1 John 3:2-3,8 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what
we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him
as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. He
that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the
Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
O God, your Son was manifest that he might destroy the works of the
Devil, and make us sons of God. We pray he would destroy all the Devils work
in our lives, and make us fulfill the mission of the Eternal Purpose of God. Grant
today, that having that hope we may purify ourselves, even as Christ is pure.
Then we will be made like him in his eternal and glorified state. We do not want
just to arrive in the kingdom, but Lord, by your help we want to reign in the
kingdom of your dear Son. And to reign in that kingdom to come, we need to
rule our own ministries down here by the assistance of your grace.
2 Tim. 1:6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God,
which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
Our Father, we beg you, stir up the wills of your faithful people in our
church! Cause us to stir up the gift of the Holy Ghost in ourselves. Make us
bring forth fruit plentifully, and to so disciple others that the fruit remains. We
look for this not because of who we are, but because of who your Son is. For it is
in his name we confidently pray today. Amen.

WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 16-18; Philemon
Wednesday, October 26

Isa. 53:12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the
spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with
the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Great Lord and Strong Intercessor:
I am a transgressor by nature, a transgressor by practice, a willful
transgressor, a transgressor who clings to sin with terrific tenacity, a transgressor
who comes back to sin even after I have paid for it. Oh! I am a transgressor who
omits duties if not pleasurable, and follows after sins that are known to cause
sorrow. And yet the Just One embraces my cause and becomes an advocate for
my pardon. Your mercy keeps pace with malice and outruns it, because you made
intercession for the transgressors!

When I dare not pray for myself, you are praying for me

When I am under a sense of sin and unable to lift up my eyes to

heaven, you are praying for me

When I think, Surely it would be vain to seek my Fathers face, you

are pleading for me

Yes, and when I cannot plead because of deep distress, when I feel
choked in the very attempt to pray, when the language of supplication
blisters my lips because I feel so unworthy, and I cannot even force a groan
from my despairing heart, you are praying for me!
Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.
Let me learn from your example. Constant love puts up a ceaseless plea.
Boundless compassion breathes-out an endless prayer. Help me remember this
when I get weary praying for the lost to be saved. For so I ask it in Jesus name
and with his blessed assistance. Amen.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Jeremiah 25-27; Hebrews 3
Saturday, October 29

Psa. 73:24 Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Father, you have the hearts of all humanity in your hand. Form my heart
according to your will, and mold it into the image of your own Son. Be my light
and my strength. Make me run in the way of holiness. Let all the means of grace
(Bible reading, prayer, meditation, and worship) be continued in me, and be made
usable for the Eternal Purpose you have appointed them. Proclaim your gospel
through me, and let all your providences be sacred.
Let your mercies draw me nearer to you, as with the cords of love. Let the
several strokes of your afflicting hand wean me from sin, mortify me to this
world, and make me ready to depart and be with Christ forever! Guide me by your
counsels and secure me by your grace in all my travels through this dangerous
wilderness of the world. In the end give me triumph, and an abundant entrance into
the kingdom of your Son in glory.
But while I am here I wear this body of flesh, and many things are
necessary to support my life, and make it flexible and compatible to ministry. I
beg you to bestow these needs and conveniences on me and my family (both my
family in the world and family in the faith). Do it so far as is consistent with
your own glory and the designs of your grace.
Let my health, strength and peace be maintained. Let holiness to the Lord be
inscribed on everything, so whatever I receive from your hand can be improved
to your honor, and to my own truest advantage. Heal our diseases and pardon
our iniquities so our souls may ever bless you. These things we ask in Jesus
name, for his sake, and to his glory. Amen!
2 Pet. 1:11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the
everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

WELCOME

PRAYER DIARY

TIMEWORSHIP

Mark 1:35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and
departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.
2)

TITHEWORK

1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3)

TEAMWORD

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

QUALITY CHRISTIANITY INVOLVES THREE THINGS

Keeping Christ at the center (your core relationship of worship to God)

Keeping the body of Christ a priority (your congregational relationship of
walking with us)
Basing beliefs and actions on the mind of Christ (your church relationship in
the Word)

Welcome to our visitors! Please take connection cards from the back of the pew
in front of you, fill out the visitor portion, and put it in the offering plate. You are
our guest and wed like to know you are here!

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.
Alan

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
