Hebrew 13:8 says: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

Lets repeat that: Hebrews 13:8 : Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
This is a powerful message and a powerful verse. We serve a living God and his will does not change.
Now what does this have to do with the Tithe & Offering. It has everything to do with tithes and
offering. If God is the same yesterday, today, and forever then it means in the Old Testament their had
to be a tithe and offering it also means that before Adam fell from Grace there was a tithe too. So lets
open our bibles up.
Genesis 2:8 & 9
8: And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man who he had
formed.
9: And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every three that is pleasant to the sight, and good
for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
So we have the stage set. God has created man, he has created the garden. Man didn't plant it the Bible
says the LORD God did that and then he placed man there. We jump down to verse 15 and see what
God says to Man.
Genesis 2:15
15: And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress and keep it.
16: And the LORD God commanded the man saying, Of every tree of the Garden thou mayest freely
eat:
17: But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest
thereof thou shall surely die.
Now here we stop and we think. God gave man a job. His job was to take care of the garden. Adam did
not plant this garden but God did Adam's job was to grow it and maintain it. So Adam went from
having nothing, to having a large increase he was literally given domain over EVERYTHING in the
world. Now we know with every increase we get we have to give a tithe. God blessess us so we give
part of it to God as it is his. In this case the Tree of knowledge of good and evil is the tithe, because
God told him you can eat of everything in the garden except from that tree. That tree is mine so you are
not able to eat from it. If you eat of it you are no longer in agreement with me. That was the death and
if you want to know why we can jump to Deuteronomy 8:3.
3: So he humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did
your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives
by EVERY word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD.
Which Jesus quoted in Matthew 4:4

Matthew 4:4: But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every
word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
So it is important for us to be near God, to keep our agreement with him. That tithe is the agreement we
have with God. If we don't pay it that covenant or agreement is broken. Now we know what happened
with Adam he broke it, however we can learn from it.
Who remembers our first verse?
Hebrew 13:8 says: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.
So that means God has made a garden and placed you in it. This may not be physical garden and I am
pretty sure it is not. For me it isn't at least. So now he has given you everything you need t o be
successful, but our job is to work what he has given us. It may be something we have to develop or
something God has given you right now. It could be an idea I don't know it, but it is there because it is
written in Deuteronomy 8:18
Deuteronomy 8:18: But that shoult remember the LORD thy God: for [it is] he that giveth thee power
to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as [it is] this day.
So when you give your tithe you are not giving it to church you are giving it be in covenant with God
and the greatest thing about that is. He blessed you just so you would be able to come into agreement
with him, have time with him, be in relationship with him.
