Caminalcules Analysis Paper

Name Tsai kido

The purpose to the activity was to cut out these caminalcules from a
piece of paper and order them onto a tree graph using years they have been
alive. Then all the groups would draw their own graph based on data you
have gotten and put onto the tree then the same would happen with the
fossilized caminalcules. Taxonomy is the classification of an organism and a
specie based on your own data and science. Phylogenetic trees otherwise
known as the evolutionary tree is the same thing it is a diagram branching
and connecting to other branches from the way nature put them together
sort of like a family tree based or similarities or differences in their genetic
characteristics. The groups would take their tree that they made and they
would take the fossilized caminalcules and put them in order by body shape,
head, eyes, tail, no tail, no eyes etc. with the alive ones you would do the
same and you can see how they evolved over time.
Well first of you organized the caminalcules using body shape, head,
eyes, no eyes, etc. and we put them into a pile. The graph would be drawn
on your piece of paper so you could put the first caminalcule on the diagram
going up through evolution and branching of the ones that started growing
its own features. These features can go be arms, hands, claws, eyes, bigger
bodies , harder bodies, etc. but they would never stay the same because
evolution would have them adapt and change. Showing the relationships
between them were put through their differences and similarities.
Dr. Josephs diagram compared to our groups diagram is similar in a
way but everyone has a different mindset on everything so my group did it
somewhat different from his idea of the caminalcule diagram. The similar
part of our diagrams is Dr. joseph started with the 73 and went up on the left
to split in two and we did that on our graph. The diagram we have is the
exact same layout that Joseph had. The lines were the same data was the
same and so was the time on them but not all of them.
Camins tree is showing that there are not all the same but he is just
connecting together by different traits. His diagram is showing how different
caminalcules evolve from one and other. On the caminalcules diagram can
be seen differently for example sometimes a part of the evolved could look
like another evolved type. Environmental conditions are just the
caminalcules adapting to their surroundings. If you look at another thing we
learned it was about moths that were white and they could hide from
predators by blending in with the aspen trees(surroundings). In this case the
caminalcules are just adapting for survival just for Darwins natural selection.
Some the them have a harder body for protecting, some have legs for
moving around faster and with paws. Life is going to take it course and direct

the caminalcules the way they need to go to survive and adapt this is why
evolution is a big part.
In this activity I acquired a basic mindset on how evolution and natural
selection working in the work for humans, animals, and caminalcules.
Connections I made are that these two subjects are completely the same in
their own way. Evolution can be revolved around everything and it shows
how much everything has improved over the years, it has opened up so
many questions that I can think of and I believe that this is a great topic to
understand. Natural selection by Charles darwin and many others if u think
about it, it is the same thing as evolution. People and animals evolve to
survive and if they dont nature will take you out. Back to the beginning, it
takes a lot to evolve for survival as all of the groups looked for differences
and similarities we found it started at one thing a body and a head. We
looked forward and we started seeing things to pop up such as eyes, legs,
paws, and claws that was evolution kicking in they had to change to survive.

Comments:
2.5 Great paper Tsai! I'm really proud of you for getting this in and making sure that you followed the
description of what was asked. I can tell by how you wrote this that you made good sense of the activity
and showed me what you now know about evolution! Well done! I know you are very capable at being
successful!
