EXPLAIN HOW TO PERFORM LONG DIVISION OF

POLYNOMIALS
There are steps on how to do or perform the long division of polynomials these are the
following:
First-Place under the radical symbol the dividend, place the divisor before the
polynomial under the radical symbol.
Second- Divide the first term of the dividend by the first term of the divisor
Third- Place the quotient above the radical
Fourth- Multiply the divisor by the quotient and place the product under the
radical
Fifth- Subtract the dividend by the product
Sixth- Divide the difference by the first term and place the result again under the
radical after the first quotient
DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL YOU GET THE EXACT QUOTIENT OR REMAINDER

EXPLAIN HOW TO PERFORM A SYNTHETIC DIVISION OF

POLYNOMIALS.
To perform or to do the synthethic division make or draw a table like this

Get the value of each coefficient and place it to the upper right corner
Place the value of the divisor at the left corner
Bring down the first number to be multiplied by the divisor and add the product to get the
sum and multiply again and again and so on to evaluate polynomials

WHEN WE DIVIDE POLYNOMIAL USING LONG DIV. WHEN DO

WE STOP?
We stop or youll just stop when you dont have any variable to be divided by the divisor
and when you get the remainder or exact quotient.

STATE THE REMAINDER THEOREM

The remainder theorem is an application of division of polynomials. It state that
remainder theorem of polynomials f(x) by a linear polynomial x-a is equal to f(a) in
particular x-a is a divisor of f(x) if and only if f(a) is equal to zero

EXPLAIN HOW THE REMAINDER THEOREM CAN BE USED TO

FIND P(-3) IF P(x)=x^4+5x^3+2x^2+8x+2
Substitute the value of p to the polynomials p(x) for the term only that has variable X to
get the remainder,

What does end behavior of A Polynomial Function

mean
It is one of the aspects on how or when youre graphing polynomials
It can help to already have an idea of what basic polynomial shapes look like.
End Behavior of a polynomial function is the behavior of the graph of f(x)
As x approaches positive or negative infinity. The degree of the leading coefficient of a
polynomial function determine the end behavior of the graph.

How would you write the row coefficient of the dividend?
Replace 0 for the missing term to complete or to follow also the rule of a polynomial

Why is it helpful to use Rational Zero Theorem in Finding

the Zeros of a polynomial function
You can easily find the zeros by looking for factors of the first number of leading term
and last term of the polynomial function.

Describe how to use Descartes Rule of Sign to determine

the possible number of positive real zeros of a polynomial
function
Let the number of positive real zeros or roots of p(x)=0 is either equal to the number of
variations of sign of p(x) or less than this number by a positive even integer.
