watched.

Exercise 8: Tell Ss to use Past Simple negative verbs to correct statements. In pairs, Ss correct the false
statements.
Exercise 9: Read the list and the example sentences with Ss. Point out that Ss write one negative and
one positive sentence about each part of the weekend. Do the second item (Saturday morning) with the
class. Remind Ss to change the pronouns (my to his) where necessary. Elicit sentences.
