Literature review

Organic food contain many nutritional value and it has less toxic chemicals. Also
organic food contain many vitamins such like vitamin C, Iron, Phosphorus and
magnesium more than the non organic food. Plus organic food has less nitrates and
pesticides. Organic food provide a great level of important antioxidant, that means
organic food is very healthy for the human body than the normal food non-organic food
. Also many studies done of the organic dairy products proved that organic food is very
good for health than the normal food.

People tend to buy organic food because it is environmentally friendly product and
because of the food safety and for quality. Also people tend to buy organic food to reduce
the risk of food poisoning. Also the gender, age, income and education can also affect the
willings to pay for organic food. women and young consumers are the most willing to
pay for reductions in the risk of food poisoning.

Organic means producing and storing without the aid of fertilizers or pesticides and
without chemicals. They claimed that the environmental aspect that an impact on the
consumer willing to pay for organic food to save the environment. Also there are many
people who are interested in the organic food but they are not able to pay for it cause of
the low income. Consumers think that organic food is very expensive comparing to the
normal food. prices became barriers for organic food and people will buy more organic
food if the price is lower. willing to pay it also related to the quality of the food, that is
why people tend to buy organic food because it has more vitamins and mineral than
conventional food. availability of organic food can be a barrier to buy organic food
because it is not available all the time. consumers figured that organic food is risky in the
long term. the idea that organic food might have some risk in the long term can be a
disadvantage of organic food and people wont buy it

Researchers found that consumers are willing to pay up to 23.4% of the price extra
for organic food because of the benefits of organic food and because consumers think
that organic food is good for everything such like low calories and it contain more fibers.
A research done on 30,000 consumer in 60 different countries, 88% are willing to pay
more for healthier food so actually people pay more for organic food if they think its
healthier than normal food. Also the researcher mentioned that young people are willing
to pay more for healthy food than older people, so actually age is an important factor if
we want to know that people would be pay more or no.
