BUKITTINGGI Research, April 2016 SYAHRI DINIL FITRI The Influence Role Of Support Group And Therapeutic Group Activitis With Self-Esteem Elderly in Social House Tresna Werdha Affection Mother Batusangkar in 2016 vii + VII Chapter ( 66 Pages) + 6 Tables + 2 Schema + 8 Attachment ABSTRACT Elderly are the group of post menstrual age who as decreased and limited capability physical ang phychological, so that elderly susceptible was suffering from a emotional of depression, los self esteem and disorder the conceptof self, let alone in the elderly whofelt be to be their families and charity in social house. Research aims to understand the influence of the role support group and therapeutic group activities to self esteem elederly in social house tresna werdha affection mother Batusangkar in 2016. The kind research is descriptive analytic with the approach cross sectional study and population to research it is a whole elderly that i in PSTW Batusangkar 70 people. The sample use technique total of sampling based on the criteria inclution of 55 people. Data were collected use quisioner then data mixed with computerized covering analysis univariat and analysis bivariat use test chi square. The result showed there were 33 respondents (60%) have category of the support group are active, 29 respondents (52,7 %) did not attend therapy group activities well and 31 respondents (56,4%) category low self esteem. There was a correlation the role supporter ( p=0,007 OR = 5,714) and therapeutic group activities p = 0,008 ( OR =5, 455 with self esteem elderly). Concluded the the role of a support group anf therapeutic group activities relating to self esteem elderly. Expected to elderly to always build good social interaction between their fellow part social house. Keyword Reading list
